Check your membership cards! Eccentric businessman and Harvest Moon Video store owner, Joseph Boddy , is set to retire. He has decided to randomly select several membership cards from his Video Store database and has issued special “golden tickets” to a lucky few. A local newspaper, The Sleepy Hollow Patch, is reporting that Mr. Boddy has laid out a series of challenges throughout his beloved video store for the chosen few, and if successful, the team will be rewarded THE DEED to the store. Mr. Boddy feels it is time for a change in ownership, one that can bring a fresh new upgrade to Harvest Moon Video as a new generation takes the helm of the film world. HMV has always been a prominent fixture on Main Street in the quiet village of Sleepy Hollow, New York. This quaint store continues to be the hot spot in town on a Friday night, as locals fill the aisles look for movies to rent. YOUR membership card has been drawn, and you and your team are anxiously waiting outside the store for further instructions. As you feel the crisp, cool air and take in the smells of the fall season, you listen to the passing cars, wondering when Joseph Boddy will arrive. At exactly 10:31 pm, a video beings to play inside the store. Your instructions are simple. You must gain entrance to the store and complete the tasks within an hour. If you are successful, you will be granted the deed to Harvest Moon Video. However, if you cannot complete his game in time, your car will be towed, and the next team of lucky golden ticket winners will get their change at this one-in=a=lifetime opportunity.

We liked the room very much. We liked that the room was pretty much self contained and has great visibility after the initial part. The theming was terrific and made us remember our childhood and teenage years. The puzzles were novel and got with the theme well.
We enjoyed the gameplay a lot. We were told going in that there were two clue paths but we still kind of worked together as needed. We thought the puzzles were fun and novel. We did end up needing several clues. My only very tiny suggestion is that I wish there was a little more space to put items because our workspace became very crowded and because I’m clumsy I kept dropping things.
The theme of the video store was very on point. It was very nostalgic for us being 90s kids. The use of props was definitely very well though out.
Staff was great. Even though they were clearly very busy and rocking and rolling when we arrived, Sean and Hunter were great in getting us set up and giving us clues and nudges as needed. They have us very thorough explanations and prepared us for what to expect.

I LOVED this room. The story is engaging and unique, as well as the puzzles. Dare 2 Escape really showed their passion with this room.

One of my favorite escape rooms. If you like movies and remember video stores, you’ll love this game.
So much fun if you love movies or Blockbuster.
Just like being in a real video store.

There were some really neat elements with this and a few that we thought were quite tricky and we wouldn’t have figured it out on our own but we enjoyed this and had a real good time. It was just 2 of us and it certainly kept us busy.

This unique theme made for a one-of-a-kind experience. Not only was it set in a video store, reminding me of my childhood, but the puzzles relied on fitting elements that one would naturally find in a video store.

First of all, the theme and set for this room are fantastic. It was really fun being back in a video store environment. The puzzles were great. Unfortunately, we had two malfunctioning locks and two things that hadn’t been reset. Our GM, Hunter, had to come in at one point and was very apologetic afterwards. I feel like we were the exception with our issues and we’ll definitely be back to try their other rooms. The frustrations had me leaning towards a thumbs-up, but the excellent customer service and follow-up from Hunter definitely moved this to a heart from me. Highly recommend.

Wow!!! This room was amazingly well done from the theme to the set to the puzzles to the enthusiastic GM that started us off. Unique puzzles and unique applications of common puzzle themes all around. Also BIG props to the Dare2Escape team for coming in early to allow us to fit the room into our schedule.

This is a really fun one off room that isn’t part of the storyline of the rest of the games. A really fun game for movie fans and great nostalgia feels for anyone who used to enjoy video stores when they were younger.
