The Tears of FreyaMystic Escape Room - DenverEscape roomIRLAfter doing a room at the Littleton location, our GM told us that this was his favorite room of Mystic so we came to check it out. The second we stepped in we were wowed by the set design. All of the tech worked (minus something opening we couldn't hear but our GM alerted us) One of the puzzles required 3 people. There was 3 of us exactly and all of the puzzles were challenging. We didn't need hints to finish and it was just a lot of fun. So beautiful. Lovely story.
The Steampunk ExpressThe Imaginarium: Playground for the Creative MindEscape roomIRLThis room was DIFFICULT. But man was the set design pretty and genuinely one of the best rooms I've ever been to. There were a few puzzles that were a tad longer than necessary I felt like (a few too many memory games) - and I feel like it's definitely not doable with 2-3 people as it's very involved and there are a lot of puzzles but still one of the most memorable escape rooms I have ever done. The ending was very heat racing. I think our group of 6 used no hints and finished with 13 seconds left 😂
The Book Of SoulsMystic Escape Room - LittletonEscape roomIRLThe theme was cool and the tech puzzles that were there were incredibly well done. There were some old school locks in there that made it less of a Wow factor as the rooms in the Denver location but it was still a very fun room. There was one puzzle in there that was so cool to me. Very fun puzzles and fairly straight forward. My group of 3 required no hints but our game master Luka was amazing! So fun to chat with after the game.
Nikola Tesla - The Last ExperimentMystic Escape Room - DenverEscape roomIRLWent in with the 3 of us and this room was definitely slightly more difficult than Freya (the other room at this location) It's slightly less linear and there's a lot more searching around which I am bad at but luckily others in my group are much better at. The set itself is beautiful and there are a lot of props. Some of it was slightly overwhelming at times and a couple of red herrings thrown around. There is a lot of tech and everything work as intended which I LOVE. I love tech heavy escape rooms. Some of the puzzles were very satisfying when we figured out the solution. We didn't use hints but some of it did take a minute or two to connect the dots.
HijackedDeadlock EscapeEscape roomIRLThe beginning of this room was a little frustrating - it genuinely felt like the first 15 minutes we were stuck and couldn't even figure out what / where the first puzzle was. A lot of the things were unintuitive and hard to find and one of the tech puzzles broke and it took a long time for someone to fix it and we didn't have our time paused.
