Lots of physical take-aways if you completed all the puzzles. Cell phone required to experience the puzzles. The staff were excellent, and the theming was very well done. I have never watched an episode of Wednesday and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Stranger Things: The Immersive ExperienceNetflix House - PhiladelphiaEscape roomOther Beware if you did the Stranger Things experience while it was in NYC a few years ago, this is the same thing. The sets are starting to wear out, but the experience itself is very well done. Don't expect any puzzles or interaction that affects what happens during the experience. Aside from a few live actors, everything was pre-programmed audio, video, and lighting. That said, this was a really neat experience and almost worth the high ticket price. Think a much lower-budget cross between Terminator 2 3D and Poseidon's Fury at Universal Orlando. Also, very PG-13. Language and violence not appropriate for younger kids. I have never watched Stranger Things and I enjoyed this. Very accessible. I wish they had better sound insulation (or any sound insulation at all) between the rooms.
Murder Of 89Captured LV Escape Room - AllentownEscape roomIRLThis room was fine. Very prop-heavy. Many of the props were showing significant wear, but nothing that impeded the solvability. There is a unique open-ended game mechanic where you have to accuse a suspect and name the weapon at the end, which I found to be not as straightforward as the rest of the game. (That is not a spoiler, they explain that game mechanic before you enter the room.) While this was not exactly a bad game, this venue has better options.

The Lost TempleEnigma Escape RoomEscape roomIRLFull transparency: This review is based on a complimentary beta test. The game was nearly complete when my group played. This is a phenomenal game for the Lancaster market! It easily has the best scenic in the area. The puzzles were intuitive and flowed smoothly. Lots of immersive tactile elements. Everything felt well-built. This is the first room I would recommend to someone in this area, whether they are experienced with escape rooms or not. I hope other local escape rooms see how Enigma is raising the bar for our market. I am so excited to see what else comes out of Enigma Escape in the future!
