Lost BoysSkeleton Key Adventures Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLReally good room!! Almost gave it a ❤️. Multiple rooms and lots of activities. We had to split up to tackle all the puzzles and challenges in this room in order to get out in time. Very good flow. Puzzles were tough but not too tough. We could feel the pressure a bit at the end but settled into a groove and got out with 4 minutes left. Had done another room here that they have discontinued and though it was good, this room is much better. Small town place but this Lost Boys room delivered in a BIG way.
Cows In Space 2: Time WarpTeam Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLWe had played all the other games at Team Escape and were just waiting on Cows in Space 2 to be completed. All their other rooms lived up to the hype…and Cows in Space 2 does as well!!!! Multi-Room adventure takes you through various decades as you are trying to restore “time”. Each room is fantastic. Most in our group enjoyed the 50’s theme room. Great variety of puzzles and themes and things to do. Our group of 5 were split on if we liked this room more or less than the original Cows in Space…3-2 voted they liked this one a little more. All their other rooms here are well done.
Welcome to the MachineCaptivating WorldsEscape roomIRLGreat fun in this our 4th and final room at Captivating Worlds. We agree with most of the other reviews that this was a room with plenty to do, and though it is intended to start slow, by the end, you will be ramped and amped up. Our experienced group of 4 did get out, but with only a minute to spare, and we did need a could hints along the way. I would not recommend this room for beginners as we really needed to use our past experiences to help navigate this adventure. My ranking of the four room: 1.Welcome to the Machine (best overall experience) 2. Sins of Dr Faustus-75 minutes and very dramatic. 3. Deep Underground-most immersive rooms 4. Barnyard Winds-great room for beginners
Morgan’s RaidThe Escape Room USAEscape roomIRLWe have done 2 other rooms at this place years ago. Both had wonderful potential but ended up frustrating and disappointing 👎🏼. Tried this room and will say it is far more satisfying than Titanic or the Castle. Multiple rooms and low on the frustration level. We enjoyed the 2nd room the most. Looking back, we spent plenty of time looking for something in the first room and had we found that in 10 minutes rather than 20, we would have been out in 30 minutes. That said, this isn’t a bad room, just wish we had more things to do. Beware as other reviews note, this room tends to be on the dark side (lighting wise). But you can use your phones for addition light as needed.
Prison BreakThe Escape Game - ColumbusEscape roomIRLVery good room. We have done all the other rooms at this location and this one, splitting your group into two cells to start the experience, is very unique. Communications is important. We were split up for over 20 minutes to start the experience but it was very cool. We liked the room but for the most part, Playground was the consensus favorite room we have done there among my group.
Pharaoh's Curse V2Countdown GamesEscape roomIRLWe visited Countdown Games and signed on for 3 games for the day: Pharaoh’s Curse, Ghost Town, and Castle. Overall, I would say Pharaoh’s Curse was the narrow consensus for the best experience of the day. No lock and key ❌ 🔐, all puzzles which we enjoy. We have done over 60 rooms and this one had a couple aspects new to us. Plenty of activities. We would call this a medium hard room, but highly enjoyable. Very immersive rooms. Countdown Games is NOT a chain, and all the rooms we did were very immersive. The only area which I think they could do better is with the Game Masters. None of our three seemed overly invested in the experience. Not terrible, but not what we expected. The room though is very good!
Ghost TownCountdown GamesEscape roomIRL2nd of 3 rooms we did at Countdown Games on a Saturday in May ‘26. We had high expect for this room after reading all the reviews. We see the potential and enjoyed the puzzles, but felt like the game flow/order of the clues could have been better. We were just a bit disappointed in a couple aspects. Still, there are several activities that we have never seen before (over 60 rooms completed) and enjoyed most of it. Lots to do and I can’t see how anyone would not like, if not love, most of the puzzles here. I can see than several reviews loved the ending…we felt like it was a bit anti-climactic.
The CastleCountdown GamesEscape roomIRLFinal game experience of three (did Pharaoh’s Curse and Ghost Town earlier in the day) and this may have been the most fun of the three. Not too difficult, but not easy either. Enjoyed the interactive portions of the game very much. The Room has three stories and you will be going up and down some, so be prepared. The room is quite immersive and fun. A couple aspects were new to our group despite having done over 60 rooms together. Looking forward to going back to do more games here given their attention to room details and decor. Lots of fun in all three rooms we did.
Murder MysteryEscape GoatzEscape roomIRL2nd room of the day at Escape Goatz. Our group of five pieced it together with only a couple nudges from the GM. Pretty much all combination locks. Lots of information to consider for mixing and matching, and plenty of information that is just decor. The room immersion was OK, but nothing overly special. We give it a thumbs up, but not an enthusiastic thumbs up.

LegionEpic EscapesEscape roomIRLThis was our 2nd experience at Epic Escape, and the results among our group of 5 were all positive. The Legion room is not nearly as immersive as Queen Anne’s Revenge, but the game play is every bit as fun, and perhaps slightly more challenging. This is a fairly difficult room but we felt like the clues and puzzles had a logical flow to them. We have completed over 50 rooms and this one had an aspect that we had never seen before. The owner was our game master and we loved discussing the flow hearing some of the background they put into the room after we successfully escaped. I highly recommend both Legion and Queen Anne’s Revenge.
Gold RushThe Escape Game - ColumbusEscape roomIRLVery immersive room and setting. Three distinct areas to navigate. The room flow is fairly linear and not too tough for our experienced group of 6. I do think this would be a great experience for beginners. This place is pretty focused on excellent customer service and they lived up to that in this room as well. 👍🏼
Nightmare in PinkTeam Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLThe reviews are spot on. We have done over 50 rooms and this is one of the very best we have experienced. Challenging but not impossible. The flow is good, the atmosphere is great, and there were plenty of tasks to keep our experienced group of 5 busy. This room is not for beginners. They have a couple other rooms better suited for those with limited experience. I would suggest a minimum of 10 escapes rooms under your belt before doing this room. Team Escape is a wonderful facility overall and we would highly recommend all 5 of their hour+ game experiences.
A Christmas Story EscapeTeam Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLVery enjoyable room. Plenty of activities to do to keep you engaged. Thought this might be a fairly simple room aimed at beginners but that isn’t really the case. Lots to do, challenging and fun, good for all ages, but not simple nor easy. GM as good. Overall, this is one of the BEST places in central Ohio for consistently good room experiences.
That 80s ChristmasEscape WapakEscape roomIRLSecond visit to Escape Wapak. My experienced group of 4 were looking forward to this room. Though I give it a 👍🏼, it isn’t an enthusiastic thumbs up. The theme and room decor were very good. Our group missed a couple easy gimmes that slows us down, but the room itself had a few flaws. A Walkman had a dead battery and between our struggles and the game-master advising us to try several different things (even though I was sure it was a battery issue-I even looked to see if it had a battery wondering if we might find a battery later), we lost another 5 minutes on just that. Not everything worked quite like it should have and we weren’t sure if we did things wrong or the challenge wasn’t working. And the audio clues were hard to decipher (poor quality). And a couple of the we figured out but didn’t know where to enter the ‘code’. Maybe on another day with everything working as it should, I could be more enthusiastic about this room…but not today.
Christmas CrisisEscape WapakEscape roomIRLWell thought out concept and sufficient amounts of activities in this room. The decor is average. The goal is to find a few presents that the bad elves hid. Unfortunately, not all the contraptions to you have to work through worked property. My group of four have done over 50 rooms and this room was fairly basic for us. I do think it would be better suited for a more novice group. After we found the final present, we asked our game master about one of the “machines” that didn’t quite work right and asked how it was supposed to work…but she was newer and didn’t really know, just saying that it was “pretty finicky” 🤨😕. Overall, we liked the room, but didn’t love it.
Dracula’s Lair - CLOSEDExpired TimeEscape roomIRLThis was our second trip to Expired Time. Our first experience as ‘meh’ in about every aspect (room, staff, enthusiasm, experience). This time however was an improvement in very aspect. We did Dracula’s Lair and were pleasantly surprised (that first visit certainly lowered expectations). Our GM, Fern, welcomed us and was very cordial and polite. The room itself seems to flow nicely and everything worked well for us. It was a true team effort as group of 5 all worked together to solve puzzles and find items in the room. We really enjoyed the experience and look forward to returning. NOTE-if you are looking to do this room…HURRY, as it is scheduled to be shut down and I presume changed to another experience on Nov 3rd
Candy Factory ChallengeTeam Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLCandy Factory Challenge was a really fun room, and as the name implies, very challenging. Do not be fooled by the cute, vibrant, sugary sweet decor-this room has plenty of activities and they will require you to hunt and think. The room is very well decorated and immersive. I would not call it high tech but your group will be active and hands on to progress through the room. It is a non-linear room too. Our group of five, most of whom have done 50+ rooms, liked this room a lot (we’ve done 2 other room at Team Escape and have been impressed with all of them so far), and have rated all 3 rooms here in our top 25%.
Queen Anne's RevengeEpic EscapesEscape roomIRLPirate ship themed room and very well done. This was our first experience at Epic Escapes. The room had plenty of challenges and a very good variety of challenges which we appreciated. Plenty to keep our group of 5 engaged. It’s a very thoughtful room and you won’t be disappointed.
Inventor’s Workshop - CLOSEDTime To EscapeEscape roomIRLWe had a group of 5 fairly experienced people do this room and we generally enjoyed the experience. Good theme! Two rooms. There was one point where we were directed to what we thought was a button (we could feel it but not see it) and we pressed it 10 times and nothing was happening. Later we discovered it was a toggle switch and needed to”flipped” not “pressed”. That was a little frustrating. The second room had the “wow” factor look but when we finished, we were a little disappointed there weren’t more activities in the second room. This was our first room at this place and we will be back!
