Escape room

Not an escape room, but a great experience. There’a a good balance of puzzles and physical challenges, and the scavenger hunts are great for when you need a break. I really like how the wristbands track your progress and how you can exchange the points you earn (by completing rooms) for hints and concessions.
Boda Borg Boston Quests
Boda Borg - Boston
Escape room
Other
Failure is an important part of Boda Borg’s culture. Because you pay for time and not for specific quests, you can repeat quests over and over until you solve them, and nothing is quite as satisfying as FINALLY realizing the answer to a room. There’s also a variety of physical and mental quests, so there’s at least a handful of quests for every kind of person.
Drago's Castle
5 Wits
Escape room

Great for families with kids, but not people looking for a challenge. While 5 Wits is easy in general and not truly an escape room, Drago’s Castle seemed the easiest to me with lots of pre-recorded hints and simple puzzles.
Tomb
5 Wits
Escape room

Current versions of Tomb don’t have the same magic of the original from the 2000s, but are fun nonetheless. More of an immersive experience with puzzles/challenges than an escape room. Good atmosphere.
The Pirate's Booty II: The Lost Ship
Room Escapers Boston
Escape room
IRL
This room has many “codes” that are much more immersive than plain locks, and there’s bonus treasure hidden in creative places for extra points. The puzzles are intermediate difficulty, but there’s quite a few of them, so it’ll be challenging for smaller groups.
Deep Space
5 Wits
Escape room

The best current 5 Wits “adventure.” The special effect at the beginning (you know which one) really sets the tone for the whole experience. The puzzles are not difficult, but it’s more about immersion than being a real escape room.
Mr. Toad's Wild Escape
Ace of Escape

The size and amount of puzzles makes this a good room for small groups. One puzzle in particular was unintuitive and we needed a bit of hand-holding by the gm for it, which led us to confuse a later tech issue for another unintuitive puzzle. Gms were really nice and stopped the clock while fixing the issue. The gameplay was a little confusing- we solved the room without using some of the elements we discovered. Atmosphere was charming and a little “campy.” Bring at least two phones with full battery as you’ll need them for puzzles and also as flashlights.

Escape Room @Grant

Fun room with a friendly GM. Hints are given through a TV screen in the room. Very linear puzzle flow but lots of the solutions unlocked things in creative ways. This is also one of the more affordable 60-minute rooms in Tucson, especially for smaller groups, without sacrificing quality.
