Nightmare HotelMission: Escape RümlangEscape roomIRLWe really liked the room design, the puzzles were mostly fun. GM was not very nice and seemed annoyed for no reason.
Bruder Bertholds HöllenformelRätsel-HaftEscape roomIRLWe usually play escape rooms as a team of two, and this was the first room we have played where having more than two players actually made sense, as there were many things that could be worked on simultaneously. The host welcomed us while already acting in character, which immediately added to the atmosphere. The introduction and instructions were also incorporated into a story that fit the theme of the room. We really enjoyed that aspect of the experience.
Zimmer 1408 [Room 1408]ActionWorldEscape roomIRLWhat we didn't like was the impersonal customer service. Instead of receiving a personal introduction, you're handed a tablet and asked to watch a video explaining the rules. Afterwards, a second staff member escorts you to the room, but they are not the Game Master. In fact, you never get to meet the Game Master at all. It also gives the impression that the Game Master is supervising several rooms at the same time. The very first lock was broken and it took a long time for the GM to notice and tell us. This was a flow killer and we started to doubt every other riddle because we didn't know if our solution was wrong or if something was broken again. The room had some technical effects but most of the locks still were combination locks. The end was fun. Overall it had potential but felt souleless.
Der Versunkene Piratenschatz [The Sunken Treasure]ActionWorldEscape roomIRLThe room was beautifully designed. We really liked that it didn't rely on traditional combination locks, but instead used technical and interactive puzzle mechanics. It made the experience feel much more modern and immersive. What we didn't like was the impersonal customer service. A major issue was that if you solved a puzzle correctly but the technology failed to register it, there was no indication that your solution was correct or that you should simply try again. This is a real flow killer and can be very frustrating during an escape room. Inside the room, there's a screen where you can request pre-written hints or press a "Call GM" button. Overall, it feels like the priority is to minimize staffing costs rather than provide the best possible experience for the players. It's a shame, because the room itself is good and fun. Unfortunately, the lackluster hosting and support meant that, despite the high-quality design, our overall memory of the experience was only average.

Mysterium der Azteken [Mystery of the Aztecs]Cage QuestsEscape roomIRLUnfortunately, we did not enjoy this room very much. The setting felt somewhat dated, poorly maintained, and rather uninspired. The overall design seemed a bit careless and lacked attention to detail. The puzzles were mostly straightforward and lacked originality, with few surprises or memorable moments. Overall, the experience did not stand out compared to other escape rooms we have played.
