I think there needs to be some extensive work done and safety reviews to get this to be worth $40 unfortunately.
Frankensteins LaboratorySpeedway EscapesEscape roomIRLSuch a fun room! They had a nice balance of locks and electronics with fun props and a good atmosphere. I maintain that these are some of the most underrated rooms in Charlotte and Frankenstein further confirms this!
Grave ConsequencesUnited Escapes of America - Lake NormanEscape roomIRLPretty typical room for United escapes. Gen 1 type room with a mix of keys and lock boxes with a few mag locks. Nothing super special, but fun. The flow seemed pretty good overall too.
Lost CityEscapology - CharlotteEscape roomIRLUnderwhelming room. Not too many puzzles but the ones in the room were basic. One puzzle was confusing for really no reason. Just felt thrown together. Didn’t hate it but it was definitely mediocre.
Mansion MurderEscapology - CharlotteEscape roomIRLIt wasn’t the worst I’ve ever played but there was a puzzle or two where I honestly have no idea how they imagined us ever figuring out how to do it with what we were given which is aggravating. It’s almost like you have to have a clue to understand it, and even then, the clues didn’t really help entirely.

We asked for a ton of hints but only because we had no clue what we were supposed to be doing. A couple of those it was our own fault, sure, but I just didn’t feel like anything helped nudge us along.

There wasn’t any clue on what to actually do and when we did get an answer or code, no idea on where or how to put it in, even if there were instructions saying how to. Things were reused over and over which makes me feel this was thrown together sadly. I really hoped for more for such a cool building.

The flow and puzzles were a bit disappointing and thrown together considering how great it looked inside. I felt like we had a lot of things to work with and no idea what to do next to actually work on the room. Slightly disappointed.
