Jurassic IslandEscape Reality - Escape Rooms NewcastleEscape roomIRLThe theming and immersion was quite strong with a surprising amount of tech that exceeded my expectations, there was 1 point where an irrelevant tech fault made us think a puzzle was broken when it wasn't, (I let the venue know so it can be fixed), there was also another point where information around a puzzle needed some additional clarity to convey what needed to be done, though overall I was quite impressed, the staff had amazing energy which really helped with the experience. If you're in the area I think it's definitely with the visit.
The ArtistExpedition GladesvilleEscape roomIRLNew to Morty though did this room a long time ago as one of the first groups in its opening weeks, there were a lot of issues with puzzle design and flow of the room and tech failure in 1 or 2 instances. We'd essentially paid full price to bata test a room that was not fully tested / not ready for the general public. The staff were friendly though they were eager for feedback on the whole room, ultimately we were there for 3 hours, half of which was for feedback. While I'm sure a lot of these issues have been improved at this point the whole experience mixed with full price with no warning about beta testing until we'd already paid left me with a sour taste... As such I haven't been back.
