Timeliner: Train Through Time
The Escape Game - Downtown
Escape room
IRL
In the old days, games were based on putting players in some miserable situation that they wished to get out of. This game instead takes you on a proper adventure, at the end of which you wish you could stay longer. We were the 2 randoms in a group of 6, so we had to step back and share the fun a little. Since it's linear, it is possible to keep track of every step that occurs without missing anything. Good music, and subtle lighting direction. Helpful subtitles on the video.
The Curse Of Madame Zita’s Curiosities
Find & Seek
Escape room
IRL
A room full of interesting curiosities to interact with and look at, and plenty of normal bright light. Jumbo sized props involve the whole group. Lots of quick puzzles means you are constantly feeling success and the pressure to keep moving. Most locks use keys with just a little tech. Puzzle flows very well due to clarifying stickers. 2 players better move fast, or come when they're not busy and hope you've been nice enough to be granted some bonus time.
The Mystery At The Majestic Theatre

My Wife and I love a good magician/theater theme. This game involves a little more stopping to think compared to Madame Zita. Nice bright lighting. Hints are not limited, but this room felt a little easier than the other. A few fun magic nostalgia reveals. Very good puzzle flow. 45 minute game. Convenient, but run down, food court nearby.
Cave Of Wonders

Escape room

We played 6 of their games because our hotel was next door and they have a "back to back" discount perfect for ER addicts. "Cave" was the game that allowed us the most joy while playing. It's a Disney Aladdin theme, complete with fun audio bits from the movie, a really fun final dash to victory, and one particular reveal that was especially magical. Like a couple of their other games, we had to go ask "are we done"? Yes we were.
A Dark and Stormy Heist

Escape room

A single room experience. Nice immersive environment, but like all their games it is played in the dark, and you have to carry a light stick and tablet around with you. More reading than you will want. We could hear stressed out people screaming and breaking glass in the adjoining space, which was very disturbing.
