Cornstalkers: Lost in the MaizeThe Escape Ventures - OrlandoEscape roomIRLAnother winner from Escape Ventures! Our host, James, was AMAZING! The entire experience was fun and really felt like a northern fall fest. Without spoilers, the only thing I wanted to be different was for there to be fewer nudges. (They do these to keep the game moving though, so I get it!)
Neighborhood WatcherThe Escape Ventures - OrlandoEscape roomIRLAMAZING game with excellent immersion. The entire staff did an awesome job. It’s nearly impossible not to totally envelop yourself in this game and feel like you’re actually at a sleepover. Also has a fun theme that brings you back to fears from childhood. There were some really good jump scares as well as an urgency to actually escape (and an overall creepy vibe at one point). Everyone in my group screamed at least once. My favorite room so far!
Haunted HarborThe Escape Ventures - Winter Garden [prev. Escape Goat]Escape roomIRLEscape Ventures took over this location from the old Escape Goat. If you played their old sailor-themed room, this one is very different so feel safe to book it! They expanded the space a bit. Fun room with a mix of tech and mechanical puzzles. Really good storyline too! There are some flashing lights, so be warned if you have epilepsy or are sensitive to such things. They didn’t bother my issues, but if I wasn’t mediated, they would have. The game master warned us of this, but I thought it would be nice for others to know prior to booking. The lights are more than just the usual T&C “we have some flashing lights” warnings and they cannot turn them off here.
Operation Arctic Storm: The Final MeltdownThe Escape Ventures - OrlandoEscape roomIRLReally great room with fun elements added in. The room is HUGE too, with fun twists and turns.
Crazy Train: The Ballad of Skeemin' PlotzDoldrick's Escape RoomEscape roomIRLNot a room for the disabled (not for epileptics as there are flashing lights they cannot turn off, though it’s only for one portion, or those bound to a wheelchair, as it’s too narrow). Very linear room, which my group does not enjoy. There will be a lot of standing around as more than two people can’t really work on a puzzle at once…the room is just too small for it. The decor and storyline are fantastic, and the mechanics and tech are there, but the puzzle alignment needs significant help. Not a fan.
Cinema 7Will To Escape - OrlandoEscape roomIRLFun, spooky game with puzzles that flow beautifully. Definitely recommend! It brought up memories of old movie theatres and had amazing decor. Fun game! My group of four got out with no clues and 5 minutes to spare.
PlaygroundThe Escape Game - OrlandoEscape roomIRLAmazing room! And our game host, “G,” was marvelous! Our group of 4 was able to successfully complete it, but man was it a rush! Unique game play with a ton of fun elements. They did an excellent job of integrating school subjects and fun recess games. Just fantastic!
Disappearance: Last LocationWill To Escape - OrlandoEscape roomIRLFun new room with a spooky element and great decor! Puzzles all connected well and were relatively easy! Recommend a group of 2. We were a group of 4 and it didn’t feel like we all had a ton to do. Still fun with the group though!
The Seventh RoomDare 2 EscapeEscape roomIRLBeautiful room! There was SO much to do and so many elements that interconnected it was almost overwhelming. There were multiple levels to this game so come prepared to be slightly active! One of the best rooms I’ve done! We had a small mishap in our room because of the game reset, but the staff was fantastic about it.
Outage: No VacancyThe Escape Ventures - OrlandoEscape roomIRLUnique game! We were nervous about trying this game because it’s mostly in the dark. It ended up being really fun!
