From the start where you had to take costumes on, and to the actor who did an amazing job! I thought the first room was the best, the actor and everything was just incredible. The puzzles were also great. Only a few locks, the others were very creative and high tech. The design of the room was amazing, you really felt like you were a moldovian rat-catcher, totally immersive! I loved the points system; it totally worked out. The last room was very impressive; you could really see the time, effort and money that was put into this room. All in all, a perfect room. Deserves all the love that it has gotten!
After SkiEscape Room RoskildeEscape roomIRLThis room must be the 2nd best in all of Denmark! We arrived at a very modest farm in the middle of a field on the outskirts of Roskilde. When you looked at the farm, you almost thought it looked dilapidated. But the second you entered the lovely warm reception, the mood was set! Everything looked brand new, very well maintained! We'll get to the room itself now. The flow was so fantastic. We didn't feel stuck at any point! This was also helped by our insanely talented gamemaster Patrick, who knew exactly when we needed hints. The design was also pretty good! You forgot time and place and felt like you were in Austria skiing! It wasn't the biggest room either, but good use of space. The only thing missing was some music, but since some of the puzzles are music-based, that wouldn't be possible. The Après-ski theme is not usually something you come across in an escape room! But otherwise the room was pretty normal. The story was also okay, nothing memorable, but I think that was also okay, suitable for this room. It was not too hard, and not too easy, so also a perfect difficulty level for someone like our group, with some experienced and beginners. It was quite high tech, as there were only a few locks, and all in all very inventive! There were 5 of us, but I think the ideal number would be 4. The room was not creepy at all, only a couple of times when it was a bit dark. Everything worked as it should, nothing was broken, even though it seemed like there had been a lot of guests, everything was super maintained. There was also good signage to the place, considering it was out in a field, and the parking was good! So my assessment is that this room is one of the best you will find in Denmark, if not in all of Scandinavia. So give it a shot, it was a fantastic experience!
Das Geheimnis der Uhrmacherin [The Watchmaker]Harz EscapeEscape roomIRLThis room was great! It was first of all a great set design! The combination between futuristic and old school, really did the job. I love the effect of time traveling, and without spoiling, you could really see the diffrence from other rooms with that time traveling. I think that was the best element in the room. The flow could probably be a bit better, with some of the puzzles being a bit long. The room is also harder on English, because of one puzzle (we were stuck for 10-15 minutes) it was about German songs, but the GM was very helpful. It also combined multipule things in the story, without being complicated at all. All in all a fantastic room, definetly a visit worth if you’re in the Harzen region.
Gold RushThe Escape Game - NYC MidtownEscape roomIRLIt was very fun! The gameplay was great, and the story was too. The introduction video was on point, so everybody in my group could understand the room. The design of the room was very good too! Very immersive! I love an escape room that includes multiple rooms, this one did! It really felt like you was in a mine! The puzzles was alright, some locks but also some more creative. All in all a great room!!!
Bon AppetitClockedInEscape roomIRLAmidst souvenir shops and the noise and chaos of Strøget, you will find Clockedin. In a backyard hidden away from the noise, we enter a beautifully decorated waiting room. We are led into the escape room, where we are given a brief introduction by our gamemaster who is well-trained in the role of waiter. The story goes that the head chef has unfortunately fallen ill, exactly on the day that the prestigious food critic Madame Tarte Tartin comes to review the restaurant, so you now have to help make the perfect 3-course menu. The room is quite well decorated, with an eye for detail, and which should resemble an authentic French kitchen. It was a completely new concept that none of us had tried before, as it was not about getting out on time, but about serving the perfect 3-course menu. So you have to be ready to use as much time as possible to complete the entire menu. The room was multi-linear, and it was quite nice as some of the rooms were quite small, so you didn't have to stand in clumps with each other. We were admittedly a bit exhausted, so our flow wasn't as good as usual, but that had nothing to do with the room! There was a mix of locks and electronic puzzles, with some innovative thinking, especially with the use of the senses! You could also tell that the room was relatively new, as there were no traces of previous use. Our game master was good, and we all felt that we were welcomed well. We were also collectively a bit lazy today, but we could still tell that it was on the difficult end of escape rooms. Definitely worth a recommendation if you're in the area!
Night Train to PragueRiddlehouse Escape Room - CopenhagenEscape roomIRLI think it was disappointing. Everything was completely worn out, and some of the puzzles could not be solved because the locks were worn out. It was an incredibly boring escape room, as they had the most boring puzzles. The story was very boring. The design of the room was absolutely horrible. You can do better.
