Fully immersive, a lot of attention to detail and story. Yea, they use some old school locks but they are perfectly integrated and make sense for the setting. We honestly like both of their rooms equally, so do them both and keep eye out for new rooms coming. Best in US for us! For those with mobility issues (like Julie!) there is a short crawl but otherwise good to go. Every single puzzle fed the narrative. Absolutely stunning set design, lighting design, and music. This room gives you that sense of wonder. Felt like we were in an immersive play. Absolutely mind-blowing reveals and the production value is insane. Creative puzzles that blend perfectly with the story. This is our #2 ranked room out of over 220 rooms across 9 countries. PrayEscape Room KatwijkEscape roomIRL#2 on our Top Ten as of writing. We were obsessed with this dark, yet darkly funny, narrative and perfect set. This room will stay with us for all time. Managed to make us deeply invested despite the underlying dark comedy of the storyline. Like, what, why am I almost crying? The set was completely immersive. The builder, who we met, is the same builder for Molly's Game. He's a true craftsman and brings in other professionals such as a set painter and again, cannot overstate the craftsmanship. Live actor integration was flawless - at first I wondered if they were just trying to scare us but then their behavior became more and more clear as the narrative unfolded. An ending fit for the stage - lights, music, performance, set. The set up was fantastic- if you arrive right on time and follow the instructions for entry this will be a ๐ฏ immersive experience (though we found it worth coming early to talk to staff). I'm not going to say that the puzzles seamlessly integrated into the narrative, like in Molly's Game, but frankly, we didn't care. The narrative was strong enough to keep us completely in the moment and the actor often brought us right back into this thrilling ride. And what an amazing staff. I think we talked to everyone who worked here. They were ALL incredibly personable and loved swapping escape room stories. Our favorite company of all time in terms of the staff. You felt like you were welcome into a house of friends. This is proven by their pictures from their own escape trips in the lobby. We have never felt so much wonder in a room. There were times we just stopped to take in what was happening around us. Scary but by no means terrifying. We donโt want to give anything away, just take from us: Do it! Chris and I both have favorite memories of this room we talk about all of time (and they are different memories!). When we want to explain to someone how amazing an escape room can be, this room is always top of mind. Anyway, we canโt say enough without giving spoilers, and trust us, you donโt want any. Let the magic happen. We stayed talking about it with the Haider and Marvin for about 30 minutes afterwards. ๐ Itโs always better when youโre around people who are so proud of what they do and have a love for the craft.
The Jurassic ProjectMemphis Escape Rooms - South MainEscape roomIRLAny time we miss European escape rooms, we remind ourselves of Tennessee. The escape rooms in this state are top notch and Memphis Escape Games easily belongs with the greats. We also love what they are doing to create other gaming experiences. If you are going to do multiple rooms, call them. They are big on rewarding repeat players with discounts. We are enamored with any room that fully immerses you and gives you that sense of whimsy that can only be experienced live. They go all in on recreating The Jurassicโฆ movie. The set was beautiful and there were extra touches (like name tags!) that werenโt necessary but added to the fun and immersion. Highly recommend! What a joy. ๐คฉ The staff was also fantastic. Owner reached out to us when he saw we had booked five rooms. Everything here is original and built with love, and it shows in the excellent work.
