Wickedly OzBreak EscapeEscape roomIRLThis room has some great reviews, so I was concerned it’d not live up to its reputation…I needn’t have worried as it is absolutely amazing! Fab decor, some brilliant & innovative elements which leave you oblivious to the outside world or where you are in comparison to where you’ve been- & super GM-ing by Anaïs (thank you!), this quirky room REALLY hits the mark!
CurioEscapologic - NottinghamEscape roomIRLSimply brilliant- one of our favourite rooms ever. You enter the home of a brilliant, but now deceased, explorer & have 60 minutes to discover his secrets. The decor & props in the room integrate really well with the theme, as does the clue system allowing you to remain immersed throughout. Once you discover the secret to this room, you can’t help but keep thinking about where it will take you next- but these is lots more to do in the meantime!
Santa MuerteE-Exit Escape Room BudapestEscape roomIRLWhilst one of the pivotal props felt quite worn & in need of replacement, everything else about this set- including the use of space and how you end the game is quirky, novel & super fun! Budapest exposed us to a raft of experiences & set build ideas which are unparalleled in anything we have experienced elsewhere & the last part of this room certainly fits that description. This felt like an experience rather than just a bog standard escape room and got better & better as it progressed. The staff were lovely too.
Az Escobar Ház [House Of Escobar]AROOM BudapestEscape roomIRLAmazing 4d design. You need to be physically able to complete this room as it involves ladder type stairs, but wow, what a room! You start outside in the street & will have to work out how to enter the target premises, which appears to be a normal house. From there you begin a journey into the murky world of drug production & distribution…

It was a bit dark to see at times, which went with the theme, but also made it difficult. Good decor, the puzzles fitted the theme & great fun. Just missing an “aha, we’ve done!” moment though!
Operation HerculesMission ClassifiedEscape roomIRLAs with Mission Classified’s other rooms, the puzzles are well thought through & fit the theme, and the hosts were really engaging & fun, so a brilliant experience.
Menny & Pokol [Heaven & Hell]E-Exit Escape Room BudapestEscape roomIRLThis was totally different to any game we’d played before & has a unique & exciting way of getting from 1 part of the room to another. Top notch, but wear comfy clothing which you can easily move about in as there are physical elements to this room which you wouldn’t necessarily expect in advance. The set was beautifully decorated & stretched us working through it as a pair, but the experience was utterly enjoyable throughout.
Red Rock ReloadedMission ClassifiedEscape roomIRLWith a lot of rushing around, we managed to get 23 gems as a team of two & thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. It’s a busy room with lots of things you don’t need until the second part- but they’re clearly labelled. The interaction with an actor throughout was unexpected, but made this, and his in character tips & chatter made this really fun.
Dream EscapeBreak Escape Nottingham - Upper Parliament Street [prev. Cryptology]Escape roomIRLWow. Just wow. The theme of this ‘room’ isn’t like any other we’ve done- it’s more like the Crystal Maze with zones where you have to collect ‘dream keys’. The rooms within this room have really different themes and require totally different attributes/skill sets from the players which means there’s something for everyone, & you can’t help but wonder what’s coming next as you progress. Searching, counting, cooking (yes, cooking!!!) there’s so much to do here! The finale is tailored to your group size which makes this behemoth of an experience do-able for a pair, with a physically challenging finale of fun. Absolutely brilliant fun, lots of variety & easily one of my top 10 venues to date.
Follow In My FootstepsKanyu EscapeEscape roomIRLThis room was great until the end when you escape through a secret exit…into a bright lighted corridor which somewhat ruins the moment. Great set other than that, fun story & good for parking.
