Disappearance: Last Location

I was quite excited for this coming off of the reviews… but oh boy. The definition of “mid” really comes into play with this room. Coming off from doing Cinema 7 which was exceptionally well done. This was just a let down! I don’t know if it’s just me and how many rooms me and my partner have done, but we were just like “🤷🏼” after leaving. I’d say if you’ve never done a serial killer/cabin in the woods type room before, then sure go for it. But, this just reminded us of so many rooms we’ve done before.

Mansion Murder

Played this last Sunday as of writing this and mainly, I was pretty upset. Walked into the room and it looked pretty bland. Not usually what I expect from good reviewed escape rooms but, was fine heading into it. After we entered our game guide explained that one of the walls was a secret door that SHOULD open at a specific point during the game, but on this day it was “broken” and already opened. So we had to play the game and looking at the family tree without pressing too hard on the door to stop from accidentally entering the next room. That was the main upset, the only other part I was a little iffy was how slow our game guide was on giving us responses. We asked for a clue and me and my partner (there were only two of us in the game, this isn’t our first escape room but first at this location,) were just standing there waiting on the screen for a response. During the part where you had to play the piano keys a certain order was the most painful, we did it NUMEROUS times correctly and we got nothing. It took us maybe  five minutes to get a response from our guide on the screen saying to enter the next room.. so we lost a huge lot of our time. That was mostly the main gist of it. Everything else was just kinda bland and boring to me. I didn’t even get to the wooden maze, we were apparently so far behind in the game we had a few puzzles still left over after our time expired. Overall, I don’t wanna give this location another shot, but maybe If they really step up their game, or we just got unlucky.
