Only Murders in the Building The Escape Game - NYC MidtownEscape roomIRLThis was fun as a fan of the tv show but as an escape room enthusiast I was pretty disappointed! There were multiple puzzles that were out of game when we played causing us to skip major pieces of the room. Also, four of the 12 physical puzzle pieces were destroyed beyond use. Audio was improperly balanced. There’s more I could put but this was just not a great experience whatsoever.
Ruins: Forbidden TreasureThe Escape Game - Berry HillEscape roomIRLCame to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday! This room was incredible! I think it is the best game I’ve seen as far as physical puzzles! So many amazing moments and moving components!
Cosmic CrisisThe Escape Game - Opry MillsEscape roomIRLDid not love this one, but see the appeal for others possibly! It was very video game esque and had more skill based challenges than puzzles. I’m unsure if this is one of TEGs older games or not but it kind of gives that vibe. Overall very cool room just not my style haha!

I hadn’t played any more local businesses since I’d moved to Nashville until this game (mainly playing at The Escape Game) but this was a pleasant surprise! It was pretty straightforward and a little unchallenging but the theming was top notch! Loved getting to interact with the manager and have a very good conversation with our guide!

The way this room maximizes each specific section is incredible! We completed this with just two people and honestly much more could have been cramped. Possible new favorite of TEG games

Legend of the YetiThe Escape Game - DowntownEscape roomIRLVery very very cool design and concept for a room. The puzzles were incredible and each room offered something so unique. I think that the second room was a bit lacking and could be improved upon. Overall good, game flow was subpar for TEG!

I had a bad day leading up to this and felt like that impacted the experience greatly. Overall very good, I do not think it’s the hardest room at TEG despite that being the general consensus!

NashvilleThe Escape Game - Berry HillEscape roomIRLIt’s heartbreaking for me to thumbs down this room as it was the final one for me to play at this location and is the first ever TEG game. All that being said, the overall room quality is pretty outdated and it is definitely built for more like a 45 minute experience. We were able to escape probably too quick.

I got the honor to play the demos for this game with my girlfriend and my dear friend Ty and it blew my mind. It is weirdly cute for a murder scene lol! This game is so special and incredibly unique!

Kidnapping 2: Afraid of the DarkBreakout Games - AshevilleEscape roomIRLWorst escape room experience of my entire life. Solidified a distaste for Breakout. After getting lightheaded and nervous, my girlfriend had to step out because she thought she may pass out bc of fear. As the description says the whole point of this room is it begins in complete darkness. When she left I attempted to open the door to go help her before the worker told me not to open the door and ruin it for everyone. So I assumed that staff would be out there to help her. Once the lights come on I come outside to find her alone crying in the hall with no help. Nobody ever came to check on her and they even got frustrated with her as we left. Will probably never play another game at breakout

The Scary OneCountdown GamesEscape roomIRLThis was THE BEST room I’ve ever played. The amount of detail put into the atmosphere, puzzles, and overall experience is insane. This was the first ever room I didn’t escape from and it changed rooms from a like into a passion. This will probably forever be my favorite room!
