Secret of The TombEscape Room CentreEscape roomIRLHaving booked this room last minute we hadn’t had much time to look into the company/read reviews so kept an open mind going in and wow, are we glad we booked. The puzzles ranged in difficulty and as well as the traditional lock and keys, we saw some styles that we had not yet encountered in our 50+ previous escape rooms. The room (Secret of the Tomb) was immersive and flowed well, with plenty to do to keep us busy for the hour! We escaped with less than a minute to spare and felt that the clues given didn’t intrude or take away from our experience as they were only given when asked for or necessary.

Super theming, carried throughout the rooms with the puzzles flowing well. GM was brilliant and we managed to escape this one with no clues. Loved every minute and am so glad we got here prior to it closing!!

The gameplay was phenomenal and the GM was absolutely brilliant. We had a fantastic time and the game was adapted to cater for our team of 2. Physical, logical, padlock and some surprise elements. Would highly recommend this one!

Loved the set design and there was a wide range of puzzles/locks to appeal to most escape enthusiasts! Can’t wait to go back and complete some more at Compendium!

We had barely even got started and had chance to look around before being sent several!! But otherwise a fantastic setting with some good puzzles and ah-ha moments.

From the moment you walk in to the moment that you finish, you are completely immersed in a (literally) magical experience. I don’t want to give anything away but all I will say is if you’re looking for a labour of love, with incredible attention to detail where the passion of the owners show through, this is the room for you. Cannot rate it highly enough - logical, illogical, thought provoking…this room has it all. A must do!!

There was plenty to do but considering it’s their hardest room it wasn’t overly challenging and we completed it with 2 of us. Definitely worth a trip if you’re in the area for sure.

With an initial “problem” to solve you can at that point choose to leave the game or continue for the full hour. I don’t know why you’d leave at that point though when there is so very much on offer. Puzzles which appeal to all are on offer throughout and will keep you entertained for the full hour.

With plenty to do for everyone, you really do keep going until the time is up. The set is stunning and is the gift that keeps on giving with a wide variety of puzzles to complete, appealing to all abilities.

Fantastic theming and another superbly built set meant that this room was a joy to explore. With plenty to do, this one kept us busy throughout and had an extraordinary finale! Highly recommend!
The HaligonianThe Escaporium Halifax - The Piece HallEscape roomIRLGenuinely love all of the rooms at The Escaporium so had high expectations of this one and it didn’t fail to deliver. Quirky theming with some really great ideas. Being a team of 2, it felt like we were in a real race against the clock at some points as the clues and puzzles keep on coming but we did manage to escape with a few minutes to spare. Highly recommended.

Lots of clever puzzles with plenty to do and gorgeous theming throughout.

I can’t think of a better room to start in; fantastic use of space and a whole range of different clue types which would appeal to everyone. I’d probably say smaller groups work better in terms of the space in here but would still recommend this as a starting point or for those who are looking for some solid escape room fun!
