MobsterGreat Room EscapeEscape roomIRLDid this one very soon after it came out. There were still kinks that needed worked out, still seemed like it was in beta testing. But had potential to be a very good room.
Star RecordsRoyal Caribbean - Star of the SeasEscape roomIRLIt was a fun theme and vibe in the room. It is definitely suited for 6-8 people, but they want to take more money with 12 people. I enjoyed the puzzles and would have enjoyed solving them on our own. Instead the staff was present in the room and was telling us what to do the entire time. They'd literally take fake pieces out of our hands and tell us they're not needed in the puzzle, assigning us positions for a puzzle, or tell us we can't work on certain puzzles yet. None of this was prompted, we got out in 25 min, we did not need the help. They also reset the puzzles immediately after we solved them which was confusing and not helpful. It literally caused problems when we had to refer back to previous solutions and they weren't there. If the staff just observed, I feel this could be a fun room with interesting puzzles.
Star DinerRoyal Caribbean - Star of the SeasEscape roomIRLRoom was small and definitely not made for 12 people, but that's how many they shoved inside. Decorations were fun. Some of the puzzles were not well put together or thought through. The staff was in the room with you and constantly told you what to do, was taking pieces from you and giving puzzles to other people, or telling you not to work on certain tasks yet. None of this was prompted or necessary, it made me feel like I was back in elementary school. Staff was also encouraging people to memorize stuff to solve a puzzle, which was not necessary (And shouldn't be necessary in a decent escape room), but there were not enough activities for people to do otherwise.
Getout Spaceflight | Mission To MarsGetOut Games - ProvoEscape roomIRLRoom was broken. Multiple puzzles didn't work because components were broken. Guide had to keep coming into room to reset things.
