Hansel & GretelMore than MysteriesEscape roomIRLThe witch sisters that trapped us were amazing. I didn't even mind that they wanted to eat us. I've done over 90 escape rooms and this one had some unique puzzles. It wasn't too hard or too easy, in my opinion. It had a good flow and good puzzles. I think it is good for both adults and kids. The most impressive part for me was the level of immersion that stemmed from the game masters. They get a 10/10 from me. They really enhance the experience.
Warlocked - CLOSEDQuest Room - KoreatownEscape roomIRLA fantasy theme is one of my favorites, especially when done well and Quest does it fantastically. Robbie really enhanced our experience with his enthusiasm and gift for improv. This room has quite a lot of puzzles, but they are not all imperative for moving forward with escape. No spoilers, so you'll just have to experience the room to see what I mean. Although the room looks super kid friendly, I would say there were some moments that could frighten younger kids. Sudden darkness, ominous music, and that sort of thing. Older/braver kids would be fine.
Resurrection - CLOSEDQuest Room - KoreatownEscape roomIRLRobbie and PJ were incredible. The immersion factor was intense and the little bits of humor sprinkled in made this top tier for us. The puzzles all worked great and we encountered quite a few unique puzzles. We've done 60+ rooms at this point, so finding unique ideas is always a plus. Again, the live actor and game master really put this room over the top of our expectations and they deserve a raise 😜.
Enter the Dark Wizard's PursuitEnter Escape RoomEscape roomIRLWe finished this room with 2 of us playing. It was such a fun room. Definitely one we will remember. The room was immersive and there were unique puzzles we haven't encountered before. Overall we had a great experience. The staff were friendly and honored our request for no hints unless requested. Highly recommend!
Awakened 2.0Chronos Escape RoomEscape roomIRLWe really enjoyed the scale of this room. Very immersive and good attention to detail.
Wonder LandTrapped! Escape Room - StrongsvilleEscape roomIRLThis room was a sad impersonation of an escape room. The immersion gets a 0/10 from me. Backdrops were haphazardly taped to the wall, the homemade "doors" had handles falling off and duct tape holding them together at the edges, and the locks all opened beat up trunks that were sitting mostly on the ground around the edges of the room. Overall it was a huge disappointment compared to the other 40+ escape rooms we have done. The only positive part of our experience was our incredible game master who was positive, funny, and full of energy. We loved her.
Blood ThirstChronos Escape RoomEscape roomIRLWe really enjoyed this room. It had great immersion, puzzles I haven't seen before, and our GM Gio did a great job respecting our request for no clues. He was positive, kind, and made our experience a great one from start to finish.
Cold CaseCloud EscapeEscape roomIRLAs our first live actor involved room, it was a 10/10. Every one of us had at least one jump scare moment, some of us definitely had more. The puzzles were not super complex, but we found that the heightened adrenaline and anxiety the experience provided made it difficult to really use all of our problem solving skills anyway. Harder puzzles would have taken away from the overall story. Our game master, Lucas, was fantastic. Really kept us immersed in the experience.
AntidoteEscapology - Lake ElsinoreEscape roomIRLI gave this a thumbs up because it was a nice, straightforward room. Definitely good for first timers or younger players.
