Fair GameRed Door Escape Room - RichmondEscape roomIRLThis was the first room my husband and I did with just us and we had a good time. We got a good number of nudges to keep us moving without us feeling like the game was being played for us. Our GM Sophie was really welcoming and helpful. The puzzles were a good mix of locks and games. A great room.
Elixir IncHidden Gems Escape RoomEscape roomIRLWell thought out and interesting! The puzzles were unique and had a good distribution throughout the space.
The Curse of ZelderonHidden Gems Escape RoomEscape roomIRLLoved the detail and work put into this room. Lots of teamwork moments required to solve the puzzles. My favorite room I’ve done so far!
The Devil’s DivinationEscape Room RVAEscape roomIRLI’d suggest a smaller group to best experience this room. We had six people and it felt tight, not everyone had the opportunity to work on the puzzles throughout a narrow hallway. Beautifully detailed and I would come back with less people though!
Sprinkleton’s Revenge - CLOSEDHidden Gems Escape RoomEscape roomIRLA cute holiday themed room. Great for someone who doesn’t want spooky elements.
ShipwreckedGnome & RavenEscape roomIRLLarge and nicely detailed room. Plenty of space for our group of seven to navigate and have equally opportunities to solve the puzzles.
The Kidnapping - CLOSEDBreakout Games - RichmondEscape roomIRLEmailed the company after this experience but got no response. My group had a 750 reservation on a weekday made a day in advance. The game master didn’t go back to the room to check it before bringing us in. The room wasn’t properly set up and multiple clues were just out that were supposed to be locked up. Safes were open that we were supposed to find codes for later. The white board had writing from the previous team that wasn’t cleared off. We are also pretty sure he fell asleep a few times. We asked for a hint and got zero response when we solved a puzzle and nothing happened. We waited with no response and kept asking for him repeatedly for him to finally be like… oh yeah that was the right answer to the puzzle but the item that was supposed to be made available is over on the table. When it was supposed to have dramatically appeared in a way that is a spoiler for this review. When we escaped, he didn’t come out or stop our time so we were all just standing there in the hallway and one of us just took a picture of the time so we knew when we got out. He eventually stumbled out and hastily ushered us out. There were no other teams there as while we were standing on the side walk he locked up and left so it’s not like he was busy. This was the third time my group or members of my group had gone to this location. The previous two times were not bad but this one is the reason I wouldn’t go back.
