Project MarsGranite State EscapeEscape roomIRLReally great room. Puzzles flowed well. Wife and I did it just the two of us and only struggled once due to not being observant. The theme was well put-together with some clever puzzles that made you both work together as well as be aware of all items in the room.
Gates of AtlantisMonkey Mind Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLVery well set-up room. The theme was very nicely put together and stayed coherent throughout. The puzzles were reasonable and my wife and I enjoyed the set-up where the hints (if asked for) were automated based on where you were in the room, a nice little touch. That said… due to this gimmick of having the automated hints, in order to enable this the game has to be EXTREMELY linear with only one puzzle at a time to solve. This lent itself well to us as it was just the two of us. But if you have a larger group be ready to have people standing around as it is a bit of a cramped space and multiple people can’t be solving one puzzle all at once.
The DojoPortsmouth Escape RoomEscape roomIRLCommon theme for this room: WAY too many puzzles for a 60-minute room. You and the group will think you are doing well only to find out that you have about 10 more puzzles suddenly appear. Wife and I left disappointed and confused by the GM’s comment that the only people that have escaped the room have come and tried it a second time… if no one’s escaped… that likely means you haven’t designed the room right.
