The PlaybookThe Lost Room Escape AdventuresEscape roomIRLSuch a cool and innovative game! Best replayable game we have seen and you can tell that the Lost Room team really put in so much thought, planning, and effort behind the mechanics of the game. Highly recommend and can’t wait to play it again!
Classified: Operation Nine LivesEscape Artist Greenville - DowntownEscape roomIRLSuper fun and engaging experience! The theming was very fun and unique - we loved the spoofyness of the story and game flow. They also put in an element into the gameplay at the beginning that we hadn’t seen/experienced before that we loved! Highly recommend this one along with any of the other games from Escape Artist Greenville
The ButcherTrapped In The Upstate - GreerEscape roomIRLReally enjoyed this game! The set was well done, lots of puzzles that flowed well, and the story was interesting. The one knock I have is multiple tech puzzles were finicky, requiring touching or pulling or turning in very specific ways to trigger the next thing - the gm had to come on a couple times when she saw we were doing it correctly but wasn’t triggering. That being said some of the tech was pretty cool that they did.
Dr. Fratelli's CabinEscape Artist Greenville - DowntownEscape roomIRLPretty solid, more “classic” style escape room. It had good puzzles, flow, and fun interactions with the GM/actor. Definitely weaker than Starlight and Classified but still a fun game!
GoneExit Strategy - SouthEscape roomIRLIt was a fun game and experience! Christian and Rachel did a great job with their characters and creating an immersive environment through their interactions. There were some really cool novel set design pieces and puzzles that we really enjoyed and in general the vibe of the room matched really well with the theme. That being said we felt like the game lacked flow as we were often wandering aimlessly guessing at what to do because we were unsure of how different clues/props tied into their respective puzzles. With some sign posting and better indications of triggers (for example when doors are unlocked make it clearer through noise or lights that they are now open) would help with the game flow quite a bit.
City with No SunNerd EscapesEscape roomIRLSuch a cool, unique room! It really expanded our perspective on solving puzzles and working together. Really enjoyed the different dynamics that came with not being able to see. Only suggestion would be to add 1-2 more puzzles in there as we felt like it needed just a little bit more.
Cornstalkers: Lost in the MaizeThe Escape Ventures - Orlando Waterford LakesEscape roomIRLWow, just an amazing game from start to finish. Probably the best game we’ve ever played! Set design was otherworldly, actor interactions were on point (James and Michael were fantastic!), and puzzles were solid and very very fun. Truly felt like we were transported to another world and they did such a great job telling the story throughout. Absolute must do, and I would say the top reason to travel to Orlando area for escape rooms!
EXTERMINATED: Terror at the JunkyardEvasive Escape Rooms - SarasotaEscape roomIRLWhat an amazing game! We were blown away by the whole experience. Chris and Trevor were amazing hosts, actors, and just great people. The room is very unique from anything we’ve done with a cool story and actor interactions. We had so much fun doing the puzzles and interacting with the set and story. There were multiple things they did throughout the room and story that were new and unique to us enthusiasts that we just loved. Can’t wait to see what else they make! Definitely a must do and totally worth traveling to Sarasota for this game!
Cannibals In The CatacombsPrototype Escape GamesEscape roomIRLReally fun room and experience! Our game master Joe was incredibly friendly and a great host. The room flowed well and had some good jump scares in it with some cool layered puzzles.
The Video StoreDare 2 EscapeEscape roomIRLFun game! We were honestly between a like and love but Mandy was incredible and the story and set were unique enough to push it to a love. The game flow for us was choppy…it felt like there were too many items that you collect throughout the game at the same time but have to wait to use them until you have all the pieces. And signposting in a few cases was lacking that we feel like would have eliminated some frustrating distractions and time sucks. All that being said it was still really fun and the story and set were really cool and unique! Would recommend to anyone, especially anyone with blockbuster memories as it feasts on those!
A Not So Fairytale EndingLock, Clock, and Peril Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLA super fun room with a ton of unique puzzles and great flow. The set design was on point and truly magical and fun. The technology they used was pretty cool and really fit the storyline. Nothing was terribly difficult but there was a lot of puzzles so it worked well with our group of 5.
Yacht HeistTotal EscapeEscape roomIRLFun room, a little different than your typical escape room in that you can “win” without actually everything in the room. Naturally we wanted to do every puzzle in the room so we used our whole time allotment to try to do everything. There were some solid puzzles that were unique and some that just felt out of place and just inserted into the experience without tying into anything of the theme (not much of a story, more so a theme). Same with the set - some of it was very fun and unique, some kinda bland. So, somewhere between a like and love but bumped up to a love for the uniqueness of it!
Special Ops: Mysterious MarketThe Escape Game - ConcordEscape roomIRLGreat room by the escape game! The set and special effects were surprisingly good, especially in the first room. The story was fun too and had a solid plot twist which we enjoyed and didn’t see coming! Definitely recommend.
Breakfast All DayMasterpiece EscapesEscape roomIRLReally fun mini game - thoroughly enjoyed the theme, room, puzzles, etc! Definitely worth adding onto your visit to Masterpiece.
Elixir IncHidden Gems Escape RoomEscape roomIRLGreat room and experience! VERY unique puzzles and everything flowed very well. The game master/owners were also incredibly nice and happily answered all our questions afterwards about what it is like to design rooms.
