Monopoly: Get Out Of Jail!
Breakout Games - Lexington
Escape room
IRL
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! A true standout for Breakout games. The set design, the music, the puzzles are so much fun plus it's the first room I've ever played with no clues whatsoever and that's quite satisfying! Easy doesn't mean boring! I hope Breakout continues collaborating with Hasbro, because their best rooms are with them!
Kidnapping 2: Afraid of the Dark
Breakout Games - Lexington
Escape room
IRL
This room is pretty solid, though it doesn't feel like a sequel to kidnapping, the only part even related to the kidnapper was the intro video. But while it doesn't feel like a sequel, its still a fun game on its own, but slightly worse than a different asylum room I've played before. I may be a little extra hard on it because it replaced Do Not Disturb, which still remains as my favorite single room experience I've ever played, but please, go try it out!
Horror Movie
The Key Escape Rooms
Escape room
IRL
This room is such a unique experience, but ill leave it to you to play so i dont spoil anything! Also, the game master obviously loves her job and a good joke on her players! And to my Indy residents, don't let the location as part of Washington Square scare you away! A sketchy looking place only adds to the experience of a good room!
Escape The Titanic
The Escape Room USA
Escape room
IRL
It's definitely a fine starter room, but I don't know if there's any more than just a few fun facts that's related to the Titanic. It could really be any cruise boat themed room with titanic notes sprinkled in. I'd probably give it a meh rating, it's not horrible, but definitely not good enough for a thumbs up.
Grandma's Living Room
Escape Muncie
Escape room
IRL
This room is very much bordering a thumbs down. The room is just okay, and is the definition of a lock hell. There's way too many locks, and not just the amount, but types of locks as well. The room also isn't linear, which is fine, I don't mind that most of the time, but when you have so many puzzles that are half finished without finding something else much much later in the game it creates confusion and a false difficulty as you dont know where to put your focus. The non-linear rooms I'm familiar with has a piece of a much larger for later in the game with no obvious clues until you have it all. Maybe some people like that kind of structure, and if you do it's a pretty decent room! Just probably the first room I've played that has a structure I didn't like. The staff is nice and I will definitely be back again to try a different one, just not my cup of tea that one.
