Though the game itself being completely in the dark, the scariest part is not knowing what will happen and your imagination. My team and I spent a lot of time nervous giggling and accidentally scaring each other lol. Definitely a fun time :)

Night Terrors - CLOSEDMystery Mansion Regina - OnlineEscape roomVirtual Yesterdsy my team and I had the pleasure of playing the digitally hosted game of Night Terrors at Mystery Mansion Regina . Having already played and loved both Deville’s Curio Shoppe and The Sleepy Man as live avatar games (easily two of my favourites), I was very excited to play the remaining game of the trilogy. Our whole team had an amazing time. They have gone above and beyond with Game Mastering in character and have made so many additional videos to the game that other then the fact you click to look around the room, you would think the whole game was live avatar. What a seamless transition !! This game really needs it’s own category as the story is choice driven like a Choose You Own Adventure yet it is done in such a way that it is totally immersive. This is for sure by FAR my favourite digital game yet but please know that it really deserves it’s own category as it plays so much more like an incredibly immersive live avatar.

As with Noriko, they did a great job of making you feel you were part of the story with a perfect room setup and props which gives the room the perfect boost to let you lose yourself in the storyline.

Being huge fans of Peter Pan as well as being so impressed with Improbable’s Triwizard Trials, I logged into this game with high expectations and this absolutely did not disappoint ! Some of the effects were so incredibly magical I was amazed at how good they looked over my computer, the game master did an amazing job being in character and guiding us and the room itself was absolutely perfect looking ! Some of these puzzles were so incredibly fun to play !! Some of the other puzzles were by far some of the most challenging puzzles I have come across. That being said, the game felt absolutely magical right from the introduction and I played the entire game with a huge smile on my face.
The Amsterdam CatacombsLogic Locks - The Amsterdam CatacombsEscape roomIRLThe Amsterdam Catacombs is by far one of the most immersive, unique and impressive rooms I have ever played. The effects are above and beyond what you would expect, especially given I was playing virtually, the rooms are unlike any you will ever encounter again and the game master was incredible !! This game was super creepy to say the least. My only regret was wishing I could be there in person to play this game . I would have loved to much to walk through the rooms and see if I could play as bravely had I been in the actual room. I do not possibly have the words to explain just how great this room is!
The Haunting of NorikoEscape Games CanadaEscape roomIRLHaunting of Noriko was one of the very first in person room escapes I played. The attention to detail to make this room fully immersive was fantastic. Without giving anything away I can say that my teammates and I all split up in an effort to complete the room and , while separated, we all were yelling to each other how freaked out we were..lol. The puzzles were great, the atmosphere was incredibly eerie and, though we did not escape (we were sooo close), we loved it so much we went back there to play there again three more times. With several years of escaping now under my belt, I plan to return and try again !!
La Ricerca Del Manufatto Magico [The Search For The Magical Artifact]Bruum Escape OnlineEscape roomVirtual My team and I joined this game with a slightly skeptical outlook given the seemingly unoriginal , uninspiring title of this game. That feeling was instantly dispelled as we met our game master. His story and acting added so much to the game and the fact that his entire game takes place in a portable caravan is incredible!! There are so very many puzzles to solve given the small space and some of the puzzles are quite unique and memorable. The storyline is actually quite cute and the game has just the right amount of challenge. Additionally, the owner/host is incredibly accommodating no matter what your timezone and spent a lot of time answering our questions and talking with us afterwards. An overall incredibly pleasant experience !
Area 52 - CLOSEDEscape Room AdventuresEscape roomIRLI played Area 52 as one of my first room escapes. I had played a couple with friends and, when on vacation with my kids and parents, saw this one on Groupon so thought I would give it a try. The atmosphere was quite immersive and they had a lot of “hands on” puzzles and atmosphere to the room. They also had props like lab coats we could put on which added a lot to the fun for my kids. As this was only my third or fourth room I cannot speak much in terms of how unique the puzzles struck me but there were a good variety of puzzles so that all of us of varying ages and puzzle skill were able to contribute which always makes for a positive experience overall.

The effects were super impressive, the acting was great and the integration of film clips smoothly transitioned to creat an amazing overall creepy experience. The puzzles were all unique, the room was immersive and, after playing, we were all so excited that we all stayed on zoom to talk about how great it was for quite some time afterwards.
SteampunkLost Escape Online Escape roomVirtual Lost Escape is one of the hardly spoken of hidden gems in the room escape community. Steam Punk is an incredibly unique and challenging room. Not only is the theme unlike any I have played before but the whole room layout and props are absolutely phenomenal ! Without giving anything away I will just say that the room completely fits the the theme and the whole time we played, every member of our team would randomly express how impressed they were with the room and how much they wished they could be there in person to see and work with the puzzles themselves. I definitely recommend this one !!
Defenders Of The Triforce - CLOSEDSCRAPEscape roomIRLDefenders of the Triforce was the first (and so far only) large scale escape experience I have had. It was held in a very large building and you started by sitting at tables with your team. Despite coming as a group of five, the game was sold out so we were seated with a stranger but it turned out to be a whole lot of fun. Though the game often involved solving puzzles on paper at your table, you would often have to go to curtained stations to deliver your answers or items. There were many different stations and characters you interacted with throughout the game and you were presented a Link hat and Master Sword to use in the game to make it more immersive. In was an incredibly unique experience and I would not hesitate to attend another Real Escape Game in the future.

The actor is absolutely fabulous and the game will get as crazy as the players like. Miss Jezebel will go along with the flow and comfort level of the group but she had us all literally in tears of laughter many times during the game. As long as you come open minded, this game will easily be one of the most fun virtual experiences you will play !!
The Triwizard TrialsImprobable Escapes - HQEscape roomIRLThis room is a MUST for fans of Harry Potter or even just magic. The props used for the games and the tech involved were incredibly impressive and the puzzles were quite unique as well. The room was absolutely breathtaking !! I played virtually but wow would I have loved to get to run around with a magic wand and interact with all of the magical creatures!! They did a great job keeping it fun and immersive for virtual play and this is for sure a game I will remember for a very long time !!
AtlantisEscape Room LAEscape roomIRLI played Atlantis digitally . If you can, go in person as this room looks so beautiful in the digitized version, i can only imagine how great it must be in person. That being said, it was a really fun digital experience. It is a very immersive online experience as far as digital games go and has a decent range of puzzle styles and difficulties.
