BioNova BreakoutKryptoScape Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLFastest 90 mins ever. The atmosphere of the room is awesome and the puzzles were very enjoyable. There was one puzzle early on that wasn’t so obvious it was wrong so it ate up a huge amount of our time. Soon after that, there was another puzzle that we completed but there was a short delay in the unlocking mechanism to trigger. This would’ve gave us more time to figure out the later puzzles but oh well, still a great room! Lastly, I definitely recommend doing this room in groups of at least 3.
The Mason's TempleAxxiom Escape Rooms - WilmingtonEscape roomIRLNever a fan of being told you can use your phone for a flashlight and taking notes. Usually you can shrug off the need for it, but the dim lighting made a task very difficult without additional lighting. I wish they would provide a prop like a flashlight or handheld lantern for the sake of immersion. On that note, the props could def use some TLC as they are a bit finicky and ate up some time just to get them to work. The puzzles were okay. Our GM was giving us hints through the walkie-talkie without us asking which maybe other groups appreciate but we like to figure it out. There’s no visible timer in the room and you don’t get any timing updates so when our time ran out a GM all of a sudden just appeared in the room. We complete most rooms but not this one. The atmosphere is awesome, but we left feeling there was a lot to be desired.
