The Crimsons RecipeEscaperoom SchijndelEscape roomIRLAfter having played a huge number of escape rooms and immersive experiences over the years, it has become increasingly rare that a game truly leaves us speechless long after we've finished it. The Crimson Recipe by Escape Room Schijndel managed to do exactly that – and with full force. From the very first moments, we were drawn into a fascinating story that never lost its grip on us. Combined with fantastic special effects and one of the most impressive sound designs we have ever experienced, the game created an atmosphere that was simply outstanding. In fact, this might be the escape room with the best surround sound we have ever encountered. The set design was absolutely top-class. Every room felt alive and it was obvious that an incredible amount of attention had been paid to even the smallest details. Everywhere we looked, there was something that helped bring the world of Elderbroeck to life. And yes, despite all its immersive elements, this is still an escape room. The puzzles were cleverly designed and perfectly integrated into the story, ensuring that the gameplay never interrupted the narrative flow. A special thank you also goes to the two owners, Natalia and Remco. Their warmth, passion and hospitality made an already fantastic experience even more memorable. Thank you for giving us such an unforgettable adventure. We sincerely hope to return to Elderbroeck for many more adventures in the future.
La Cabaña [The Cabin]EscapopEscape roomIRLDuring our vacation in Tenerife, it turned out that our friends Ash and Linda had gone missing in the woods of Raven Creek. So it was Carina Zum Bleistift and my job to go to their last location in a small forest cabin to find out what happened there. And if the words "cabin", "woods" and "Ash and Linda" make you think of "The Evil Dead", you've come to the right place. With La Cabaña/The Cabin Escapop created an excellent mixture of horror experience and puzzles. All puzzles fit perfectly into the Evil Dead universe and there were almost no combination locks. Lighting, sound, setting and acting were of a very high level and one or two surprises were very well staged. We've also never had such an “evil” hint system before, which more than thrilled us. We would classify the horror level as medium, but the room can also be played in a light version (mystery mode) for anxious players. If you are an escape room fan planning a vacation in Tenerife, we can only recommend this experience to you. Many thanks again to the team for the great hosting.
