The New Atlantis - CLOSEDThe Escape - HuntsvilleEscape roomIRLThis was the first room we did at this location and it didn’t disappoint. We liked that it was more of a unique theme and it was very immersive which made it feel real. Sometimes when a room is immersive the puzzles can be a little lackluster, but that wasn’t the case in this room. The puzzles were great and non linear so the 4 of us always felt like we were doing something. Also there were different puzzles for different strengths so no one felt left out. Overall if we’re ever in the area again we will most definitely pop by and do another room. We had a blast and escaped with about 8 minutes to spare.
Volatile LabsExit NewcastleEscape roomIRLThis was the third room we did at EXIT and we weren’t disappointed. The puzzles all make sense and are equal part challenging and satisfactory when you finish them. It’s definitely not a linear room which was great because as a team of three we could divide and conquer. No one ever felt bored. The game masters were great and super easy and fun to chat to. Plus as each game is completed you can collect pin badges. We will definitely be back to do more rooms!
Magic EmporiumEscape - LVLS NewcastleEscape roomIRLThis room is themed to be a wizard style alley and we do have to say the theming and the immersive-ness was spot on. We started out strong but we found ourselves having a rougher time towards the middle of the experience. Some of the instructions were a little frustrating and the final puzzle was finicky with technology so that was a bit of a bummer. Overall it was a nice looking game but the puzzles were very average, they were also extremely linear so we found ourselves sticking together a lot. The game masters were great though and super kind and helpful.
The ArcadeEscape - LVLS NewcastleEscape roomIRLThis room was good and nicely immersive in a retro arcade. It was a little dark in the beginning and slow at times but the game masters were good at taking us in the right direction. It was definitely a more linear room with one puzzle leading to the other, but all the puzzles made sense and connected nicely. We found ourselves overthinking some puzzles but that says more about us than the room. lol Overall we had a great time and escaped with plenty of time.
Return of the PharaohsParagon Escape GamesEscape roomIRLThis was a fabulous, immersive room with great puzzles that matched the theme and kept the whole room thinking. This was the best Egyptian room we’ve done and all the puzzle technology added to the atmosphere. The game master, Julian, was great and really set the game up well for the whole team. This room is perfect for experienced enthusiasts as well as newbies, no one was bored. Amazing non-linear experience!
The Break In - CLOSEDGet Out HartlepoolEscape roomIRLThis was a great room that we all enjoyed doing. The room was immersive and kept us all on our toes. It was linear at times, but at the same time none of us felt bored or that we weren’t doing anything. The puzzles were a good mix of automatic and manual locks, and we enjoyed the little twist at the end. Overall we will definitely be back when more rooms are created.
