Pudding LaneCronologicEscape roomIRLAh what a brilliant way to make a historical event come alive, brilliantly themed, some clever puzzles and tasks and a decision to make at the end leading to different outcomes. Loved our GM Lily and really hope that TimeTrap is reborn with their time travel antics elsewhere.
The Explorer's Diary (Mission)Hounds - Immersive ExperiencesEscape roomOther A another brilliant one from Hounds. So detailed and immersive with amazing decoration, logical puzzles and activities, some fantastic surprises and spaces. Hilarious GM and sidekick too :)
Southern Dis-Comfort (Mission)Hounds - Immersive ExperiencesEscape roomOther Absolutely superb space, brilliant theming, clever split start and a superbly dramatic ending. GM was brilliant, funny and engaging, just such fun and we only needed one hint half way. Didn't want to leave this world! Hounds is amazing all over!
Box One By Neil Patrick HarrisTheory11 OnlineEscape roomTabletopJust insanely good. Get a copy and play it alone or with friends! So so clever and cunning :)
Questionable Ethics (Mission)Hounds - Immersive ExperiencesEscape roomOther A really detailed briefing from our "kidnapper" and a very clever use of space. Brilliant puzzles all well in keeping, great styling and overall an amazing venue!
Operation BlacksheepclueQuestEscape roomIRLSo much to do this room! A really lovely blend of puzzles and tasks, and a real sense of drama and urgency. Really enjoyed it.
The AnatomistEscape The PastEscape roomIRLA brilliant game. Great theming, very clever use of everything on here room and some unique quirky puzzles, reveals, and combinations as you progress. Brilliant hosting by Oliver too. Excited to hear they have more in the pipeline so we can come back next time we're up that way!
Pandora’s BoxTrapped! Escape Room - Las VegasEscape roomIRLAbsolutely loved our experience here. We only had time to do one room sadly but we chose Pandora's Box and it was fantastic. We are experienced players and blitzed through and completed the game, only to be told we had actually segued into added bonus (more difficult) puzzles without even realising which had kept us entertained and engaged for another 15 to 20 minutes extra. It was a true mark of respect for the players that they had thought of that and that we didn't even realise it had happened. A brilliant touch. The room is very atmospheric with some very clever tech and effects, chatting to a character throughout the game. Our GM was Tori and she was super sweet, fun and good at her role.
Curiouser and Curiouser - CLOSEDTimeTrap Escape Rooms ReadingEscape roomIRLWhat a wonderful room! Such a great concept, lovely mix of puzzles and tasks, brilliant humour and some really lovely aha!s. I really hope this concept can be recreated somewhere when TimeTrap closes, as it was so enjoyable! Lily was a wonderful GM and we genuinely grinned the whole way through. So well done.
Revenge of the SheepclueQuestEscape roomIRLWow really good room. Bit of a false start as some things aren't very clear to begin with but once we were past that, the rest of the room although small had a lot packed into it, and some extremely high tech stuff, which although fancy wasn't always obvious enough. Some very nice puzzles though, things I'd not seen before.
PLAN52clueQuestEscape roomIRLPlayed this with my Mum for Mother's Day and it was superb. She absolutely loved it and I think it's one of the best I have played yet. Some superbly clever touches, great tech and puzzles and a real mix of things to do. Only needed one hint for something we had overlooked and Rowen our GM was fantastic. Can't wait to go back and play their other games!
Sherlock: The Official Live Game - CLOSEDSherlock: The Official Live GameEscape roomIRLReally good fun from the time you arrive at the unusual location, a place to grab a drink beforehand on site and then you're inducted to the game and off you go. 3 areas of puzzles of nice variety and difficulty, handy hint system and video and audio interjections from the cast. Nice that you get your own route and pace and are not being herded through with another team hot on your tail. Nice merch to buy at the end. As a Sherlock fan I loved it but you don't need to have watched it to enjoy it.
The Church - CLOSEDEscape Rooms SuffolkEscape roomIRLWow - SO immersive. And HUGE! Like you're on the set of a movie, not in an escape room. Such a clever concept, great puzzles, interesting spaces and a fun storyline. Very high tech and a lovely balance of tasks to complete - really really good!!!
Fantastic Forest - CLOSEDFox-N-Otter Adventure Escapes Asheville Mall LocationEscape roomIRLA beautifully themed room with well hidden logical and physical puzzles, plus an additional bonus of collection type challenges at the end which gave it a nice boost half way through. Great GM and beautiful venue in the mall. Fab!
Hell HouseThe Panic Room 3 - St Georges CentreEscape roomIRLThe most impressive thing about this room is the scale and the set. From the entrance to the
Candy ShopBlackout Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLA room right up my street! Great for families and for those with a sweet tooth like me. Lots of colourful puzzles and fun mechanics.
The Vault - CLOSEDEscape Rooms SuffolkEscape roomIRLWhat an amazing first room this was from this family team - to have come up with the puzzles and the technology in this room is incredible - and their later rooms have just gone from strength to strength off the back of this room. Play this one first and appreciate it, then do all their other rooms too. Just amazing.
Air RaidSuffolk Escape RoomEscape roomIRLSuperbly authentic venue which looks sparse to begin with but hides a lot of secrets. Lots of thinking, finding and unlocking to be done. Such genuine artefacts that I almost felt we really had gone back in time, and some really amazing items I've never seen before. Kevin the owner who hosted us was wonderful and super friendly, you can tell how enthusiastic he is and how much he enjoys it. The campsite that the 'room' is at looks amazing and we are looking to go back and stay there and do another room!
Prison Blues - CLOSEDSuffolk Escape AcademyEscape roomIRLFantastic venue on a huge campsite come activity park. Fab host, and a clever Introductory warm-up that I have never seen before! Room was cleverly built, puzzles fun and plentiful and in-keeping with the theme, with a couple of great moments and use of items I haven't come across in any other room, plus an ingenious hint system! Really loved this game (60 rooms) as did my mum (6 rooms!) Loved the humour too and looking forward to going back for the other room!
Heist - CLOSEDThinking Outside The Box Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLWow what can I say. Jason has made an absolutely incredible multi-linear game here, cramming more puzzles into one room than I could have possibly imagined. More than enough to keep you in the room for the full 60 minutes, but knowing you have to get out before then keeps the pressure on! Some incredibly clever uses of items, codes, furniture and information to lead you on multiple paths through this fiendish vault of treasure. We did very well as a two, getting out with £33k. On arrival we had a fantastic intro to the experience, the humour and energy that Jason brings to the experience is awesome, and the "accomplishments" he awards you are sublime. I would say that some things were looking a little tired in the room and/or were not operating optimally, but it didn't really hamper the game. With all the will in the world I truly hope this experience opens up again in a new location with refreshed interior and when it does you must go do it.
