I thought that the sets were well done and I appreciated the way that the path progressed through the story. That being said, the scares felt pretty repetitive by the end of the house.

I found it to be one of the more enjoyable ones in the park because the concept was unique and well executed. I’ve heard that this one smells terrible but I didn’t really notice any unpleasant scents infused into this house.
SinnersHalloween Horror NightsHauntHaunted houseI didn’t think that this house was scary but it was very immersive! Walking through this house feels like you’re in the movie. The actors were all perfectly cast in my opinion!
Invasion: Alien AbductionHalloween Horror NightsHauntHaunted houseThis was by far my least favorite house at HHN. The Alien’s were really cartoonish and not scary at all. The scares were repetitive and became predictable very quickly.
Jack & Oddfellow: Chaos & ControlHalloween Horror NightsHauntHaunted houseThis was my favorite house at HHN! There was a lot of variety in the costumes and technical effects in this house and I loved that I never knew what I was going to see next. This house was really creative and enjoyable!
HellraiserHalloween Horror NightsHauntHaunted houseI think that this house was objectively well done if you are familiar with the movies. Personally, I felt like the scares were pretty repetitive in this house and the strobe lights were a little bit excessive (I don’t mind occasional strobe lights but this just felt like overkill). I will note that the lighting might have only felt so jarring because I did this house when it was mid-afternoon and my eyes were struggling to adjust from the brightness outside to the darkness inside.
Evil Dead BurnHalloween Horror NightsHauntHaunted houseI really liked this house because I felt like I was walking through a movie! The variety of characters intrigued me and I liked the way that we were able to walk through what felt like a really fleshed out storyline.
Stranger Things 5Halloween Horror NightsHauntHaunted houseI didn’t love this house because every scare felt the same. The demogorgon costumes were well-made but I wish there was a way to add more variety to the scares because I was kind of bored by the end. Nevertheless, this house was immersive.

Lake Hickory HauntsLake Hickory HauntsHauntHaunted houseI love Lake Hickory Haunts! I’ve been to multiple haunted attractions over the years and this is by far my favorite. You can really tell how much time is spent improving and adding on to the attraction during the off season. Their newest sections are highly impressive and I’m excited to go back in the future!
Nightmare Dungeon - CLOSEDNightmare Dungeon Haunted AttractionHauntHaunted houseIn all honesty, this haunt was a bit of a disappointment. It is $30 per base ticket and the experience lasts less than 30 minutes. The first and last room were pretty unique but the in between sections were very generic. The themed sections blended together and a lot of the haunt just felt like empty dark hallways.
MadworldMadworld Haunted AttractionHauntHaunted houseI was pleasantly surprised by this haunt. I feel as though everyone I’ve seen compare Madworld and Nightmare Dungeon has ranked them similarly and I don’t feel like that’s true at all. After being semi-disappointed at Nightmare Dungeon, Madworld was a breath of fresh air! The haunt was well conceptualized and paced. The waiting area also had a ton of things to do and you could spend a long time looking around. It’s definitely a haunt that is worth visiting!

Additionally, it does not take you to multiple different floors. It’s one of the better parts of the haunted house though and seems to help the pacing.

Generally speaking, a lot of the scares were repetitive (example: there were a lot of chainsaws that were all used in the same way). The haunt actors weren’t always in full costume (some masks came off, some weren’t wearing masks in the first place, etc.) or fully in character. It appears that most of the attention was directed towards the hayride given that’s where the majority of the actors were at.
Kreepy Hollow - Closing Oct 4Kreepy HollowHauntHaunted houseThis was such a hidden gem! I didn’t really know what to expect going in but this was a very pleasant surprise. The haunted house was good but the best parts of the experience were the bus ride and the hayride. My only complaint would be that the music was excessively loud. It was great at setting the atmosphere but it could be toned down a little bit.
2 Miles of Horror - Closing Oct 4Kreepy HollowHauntHayrideThis is by far the best haunted hayride that I’ve been on! The scenes were conceptualized well and super immersive. I wasn’t expecting the sets to be as elaborate as they were and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience! My only complaint is that the music/sound effects were excessively loud. I appreciated the way that they set the scene but they could definitely be toned down a little bit (I want to be scared of the monsters, not scared of the possibility that I will leave with hearing damage)
