The Escape Ventures - Orlando
Escape room
IRL
Easily one of my favorite rooms of all time. An incredibly memorable experience. The theme is dark and may be disturbing (missing children...), but they toed a good balance between scary and humorous. There is a jump scare, but it can be toned down upon request. I usually don't love jump scares, but this one is recommended to just go for it - as it's unique! No spoilers π€) The puzzles were fantastic; however, some puzzles break the immersion (for example, one puzzle relies on rubber insects. Are we supposed to believe these insects always maintain the exact number for the benefit of people unlocking chests... Or whether these were other kids leaving fake insects to help us? It wasn't explained).
Bros for Life: Fraternity Heist
The Escape Ventures - Orlando

Brilliant, bros! A new top 5 for me, and easily the best I've played at this location. Unique, thematic, fun, immersive, light-hearted pure fun! Wide range of creative puzzles which vary in difficulty - quite a few creative takes and choices I'd never seen before. Great mix of cracking codes, locks and physical activity (but nothing physically demanding). Don't leave Orlando without trying this!

Top notch! Perfect amount of tricky and spooky.
Red Sled Redemption at the Holly Jolly Holiday Hubcap Repair
Doldrick's Escape Room
Escape room
IRL
Difficult and unforgettable single-room experience with a ton of stuff to do! My favorite room at Doldrick's (having done all but the Graveyard game). Great mix between physical gadgetry (wires, locks, Christmas tree ornaments, postcards, candy canes, milk, cookies, candy canes and air pumps) and tech-y buttons and sensors. The use of traditional "Christmas-y" decorations in unfamiliar ways was unforgettable. Highly recommend (... but bring your A-game!)
The Crying Cactus
Daytona Escape Room Experience

Fun and creative with great components, a big theme shift and a huge ramp-up in difficulty, # of locks and papers to manage! (... Maybe too many papers?!) Absolutely worth trying...and don't forget unlimited hints! Not for beginners.
SherLock Studies
The Escape Effect
Escape room

Lighthearted and well-themed. Fans of Sherlock Holmes will appreciate this traditional lock-heavy escaoe room. There's a great puzzle involving portraits and a fun "connect the clues" element at the end of the room to determine the murderer, weapon and location - it feels like playing Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective.
A Knight to Escape
The Escape Effect

The group is split almost the entire time - unique among split rooms (for me they have been limited to 15 minutes apart and then reuniting). Knights and dungeons is not my favorite theme, so I wasn't wowed in that way, but the puzzles were good. And SO MANY KEYS! One thing holding this back from being a superb game is there is too much dead time on one side while waiting for the other side to figure out what they're doing. However, when both sides were working together, it worked very well.
Wizardβs Tower
Mystique Escape Room
Escape room

Lots of fun tech to love, but it's a tough game and (agreeing with another reviewer) one puzzle's solution is incorrect (not a spoiler: "the weapon scroll image"). The negative of this room is it felt like a frantic rush to check off a long laundry list of items, and some enjoyment and plot was lost amidst the chaotic scurrying of our 5-member team. It was a lot to keep track of without a writing device to help. The final puzzle was a let down (basically a "find what's different here video puzzle), after a string of really good ones.
Room 33
Escape Rooms London Bridge
Escape room
IRL
Really fun red herring and puzzle-packed room. The plotline is (sadly) inconsequential and the first room isn't up the same standard as the main room (a hint/tip below...), but the main room's non-linear "playground" atmosphere well made up for it! While I usually hate red herrings, they actually make sense in a museum theme, with a LOT of things to see and shuffle through. A big part of this room is figuring out which items matter and which do not, which can be fun. If you take this on as part of the meta game, then the room should be a blast! ( just stay organized :) ) **(Hint/Tip/no spoilers to enjoy this room more. Others commented they don't like the first room. We had fun with it, but we also agreed it is not the highlight - I recommend speeding right through it and give yourself time to finish the secind room :) ]
Crypt Of The Vampire

This room was fantastic. Great vibes and set pieces, very funny/campy gags and voice acting - right up my alley! The final puzzle and ending was very satisfying. This was less chaotic and more straightforward than the Wizard room and a little easier, but not a beginner room. It's mostly linear, which can be a positive or negative depending on your style- I like both kinds to mix it up. (I preferred this room over Wizard's Tower - this was just more fun, but Wizard's had more of a wow factor due to its tech. I loved both and will be back for more!)
