Escape The Hydeout: The Mystery Of Henry JekyllMission Escape GamesEscape roomIRLReally great room with a spectacular build or. The puzzles had us connecting lots of dots to ultimately come to the conclusion which was very satisfying. Great location, definitely recommend.
Lost CityEscapology - North OlmstedEscape roomIRLThis was our first escape room ever, and it got us hooked! The puzzles were fun, though being brand new we did struggle to get started and needed some pretty explicit hints to get one of the first puzzles completed. Once we got that, we understood the logic enough that we made it through. We did have an unfortunate block due to a broken lock, but the gamemaster came in and jimmied it for a few minutes until it opened, and then graciously gave us some time back. Fantastic customer service, and we are so glad that it's first run was so excellent :)
PreyEscape Room MadnessEscape roomIRLTo be fair, I don't like losing. Normally, when we all got a hint, we at least feel pointed in the right direction and can quickly solve the puzzle -- that was not the case here. The puzzles didn't feel connected to the game or storyline, so it was difficult to apply the necessary logic. The aesthetic of the room felt underbaked and, while I always try to leave room for props feeling a bit "cheap" because this is all imaginary anyway, the quality of decor in this room left me underwhelmed and not immersed.
The Perfect CrimeEscape Room MadnessEscape roomIRLFrom reading other reviews, I am glad to say that they have fixed a major flaw by labeling which solution went to which lock... With that said, fixing the problem in this way made the whole experience feel like my hand was being held. With there really only being one type of puzzle in the room (so many 4 digit locks!) it started to feel tedious. I did enjoy the endgame puzzle, because it felt so different from everything that had come before it. The gamemaster was great. Overall I'm still counting this as a thumbs up because there was nothing terrible about it, but it was very basic.
