Wrongfully ConvictedThe Escape RevolutionEscape roomIRLHad fun but was hoping for something more. Did Escobar previous to this room and was blown away with that room, and was left wanting more from this one. There were a couple novel elements to the room, but it felt so literal to the theme that the gameplay and set is a little dull and I think there could have been many opportunities for added theatrics. It’s an enjoyable room but doesn’t make my list of favorites.
Something's Out There!Maze Rooms - West LAEscape roomIRLHighly Recommended! Top 4 of the ones I’ve done from Maze Rooms. Great storyline, great smart puzzles, fantastic set, perfect combo of tech and creative imaginative mechanical puzzles. Loved the theme! Do it…you won’t be disappointed !
The Magic CottageInfinity EscapeEscape roomIRLOne of those pick this up and put it over there rooms with a laminated instruction manual. Not a fan of the game play. It’s a beautiful room but wasn’t worth it. Too dark for the sake of being dark. And clue/ audio system was hard to understand and lacking clarity. Also didn’t like that clues were given before asked for.
They're ComingMaze Rooms - Culver CityEscape roomIRLGreat Puzzles in this room! Not as gory as the thumbnail alludes. I’d say this is one of their harder rooms. Recommend!
BeWitchedLara’s Labyrinth - San Diego [prev. Quest Room]Escape roomIRLLOVED THIS ROOM! We did the R-rated version! So funny and fun! Such a great experience. There is a live actor that is seamlessly integrated into the room. Different from every other room I have done in a very refreshing way to have a new type of room! The set is awesome! Excited to try their other rooms!
The Paranormal ExperimentClockwise Escape Room - BoiseEscape roomIRLThis room was epic!!!! Set was KILLER! Puzzles were AMAZING ! And story was on POINT! Fully immersed experience and had me buzzing afterwards!
Steampunk AliceMaze Rooms - LAXEscape roomIRLMost Intricate Sets hands down! Highly recommended. Any critiques I’d have are totally overshadowed by how awesome the set and overall experience is. A stand out game I won’t forget!
Spy DogsMaze Rooms - LAXEscape roomIRLNot a fan. I’d say skip this one. Just painfully bad in a lot of ways. Maze Room is my favorite company but this one is a let down
Ghost HuntersMaze Rooms - Robertson BlvdEscape roomIRLExcellent Set Design and immersion. Lots and lots of tech. Super fun. Definitely recommend this room but I think it could have been heavier on puzzles, there is a particular element/“puzzle” that I thought was a gratuitous use of tech(that I would have preferred to be mechanical or less like an iPad) ….hoping that future rooms are boosting tech as much as they are boosting the ingenuity of the puzzles!
The Dragon's LairMaze Rooms - Culver CityEscape roomIRLOne of my favorites of all time ! Original in every way! Set / puzzles / tech all in perfect balance!
Pharaoh's Tomb - CLOSEDMaze Rooms - HollywoodEscape roomIRLVery different! If you like the Ancient Egyptian Theme then this might be for you. I didn’t enjoy the game play as much as I had hoped. The set is really cool but lots of distraction, and seemed like lots of opportunity to question whether elements of the room were working/fitting correctly. Also easy to over complicate things with this room. There is math. Room left me feeling stressed (not in a productive or challenging or fun way) …basically only reason I’m giving a thumbs up is because I love this company and the set design and elements are fantastic.
Pirate Bay - CLOSEDMaze Rooms - TarzanaEscape roomIRLMaze rooms is my favorite company…but this one is mehh for their standards. I’m going back and adding all the escape rooms I did over the last 6 months and I’m finding the one to be very unmemorable. I would still say this is a lot better than a random escape room you might walk into. Not bad just not great
Men In Suits (MIS)Maze Rooms - LAXEscape roomIRLA Good Game all around. Recommended! Some broken bits that broke the immersion
AvalancheMaze Rooms - Robertson BlvdEscape roomIRLThis is one of my favorite escape rooms to date! The set design is always amazing with this company!! I like the higher tech elements that is also a staple with this company and definitely in this room as well! Other reviewers pointed out that the story didn’t make sense; and that didn’t even cross my mind until reading the other reviews because it was so much fun….I would ultimately agree there are elements of the ‘story’ where it’s not readily recognizable how the metaphorical dots connect but it was never so astray that it distracted from the experience or gameplay. 5/5
