Molly's GameUntold Stories Experiences [prev. Down the Hatch]Escape roomIRLMollys Game was reflective of it’s reputation. Completed with 5 minutes to spare with 2 people. A lot of these reviews cover the game in depth already so I’ll try and be brief. The set design was next level and the best we have ever seen. The GM told us the owner spent 22 months working 80 hour weeks to build it, and I didn’t doubt that for a minute. We saw things here we haven’t seen in any other escape room. The story was the best we have seen in an escape room, but with the stress of solving it in the moment we missed a lot of details. You should ask the GM for a story walk through at the end, it made the experience even better for us. Like some other posters we found a few of the puzzles repetitive and long. While they were unique some took 10-15 minutes of doing the same thing over and over again. None of the puzzles stood out as super unique or amazing but they were solid nonetheless. However you come to this room for the decor and the story the puzzles take second stage. Overall we loved this room, though it was a bit scary for our taste, but we shy away from the horror. We took great comfort knowing there were no live actors in the game. I can’t wait them to open their next room which apparently is approaching completion.
The Lost Treasure Of Alexander Von HumboldtThe RoomEscape roomIRLA really fun and well done room with a lot of depth to it. As a team of two it was on the harder side but we managed to escape with a bit of time to spare.
The AlchemistSherlockedEscape roomIRLWhat a fantastic room and worthy of its fame. Our GM was especially great even when the entire computer system crashed and we had to wait 10 minutes for it to get fixed we still enjoyed the decor and checking things out. We saw a bunch of new puzzle designs and the room felt more solid and like a real place then a constructed set. I think that is owed a lot to the use of real wood and metal all over. The GM communication system was also really fun and clever. A very solid loved it from us. We played as a couple with advanced notice they can gave the room setup for 2 and it didnt feel like too much of a rush or time crunch. Despite the computer crash we still felt this was a near perfect game
The Murder of Max Sinclair [prev. Case Closed]Case Closed EdinburghEscape roomIRLThis was a fun room with a very different concept than a typical escape room. You are not so much solving puzzles as you are putting together the clues for a murder mystery. We had a lot of fun as a 2 person group but found some of the items a bit frustrating as the room was a bit dated. Overall the experience was pretty good though we don't think we would enjoy doing too many of this type of room.
The Golden PhoenixMiraculumEscape roomIRLFantastic set design, the puzzles felt a little basic but the set was really immersive, overall a pretty great Harry Potter themed room. We could have done with a little less host acting but once you were in the room there was no more actor.
Botanist ManorEscape RushEscape roomIRLMan what a great room that lived up to its hype and expectations. Really fun story that even knowing going in had some twists and turns. The makers have definitely taken inspiration from Mollys Game and there were some like elements in the game between the two. This is a must do room if you are anywhere close. We also had one of the best GMs we have ever had. They did a perfect job keeping an eye on us and not helping when we didn’t need it but fixing things that were broken in the background before we even noticed. A+ work and I can’t wait to see what they come up with next
ArbrevilleDe Gouden KooiEscape roomIRLThe decor was amazing and what I would expect from our other experiences with De Gouden Kooi this was definitely their largest room yet. However we felt that the puzzles while on theme and matching decor and storyline were not very well thought out or complex. Every puzzle we saw was something that you see in every other room. De Gouden Kooi spent an incredible amount of time designing and building this room but seem to have given little thought to the actual puzzles. Some of this feedback is based on the expectations of their other rooms and that they are going for a top rated room for Europe. However other side of the very well done decor and room size there really wasn't anything special here at all. The puzzles were simple and more of just something to slow you down for a minute to look around.
World of MagicEscape Company & Bar St. GallenEscape roomIRLWhat a great game, we were a little skeptical with the low number of reviews when we did it but they really did a great job on the room. It was a hard room but certainly not expert and we easily cleared it with 2 people. The set design is stellar and made the room, we were open mouthed when we saw some of the things. The puzzles were all pretty good but felt like not too many, they could have gone with another one or two. Some were very time consuming to complete so it didn’t feel like too short of a game. Highly recommend especially if you like Harry Potter

Much like the other room at this location this isn’t so much as an escape room as a Sherlock solve a murder type room. Just kinda fell flat though
