The Depths
The Escape Game - Crocker Park
Escape room
IRL
I wish they were private experiences like many others are doing post-COVID. It would have been more fun with just my group rather than being placed with another. That said, the room itself was great. Good theming, difficult but not frustrating puzzles, a decent number of red herrings, a lot of incorporated tech, and multiple hidden and not-hidden rooms.

People are nice and the theming is fine. We’ve done many rooms with this company and they’re always solidly okay, though we usually have at least one prop malfunction and their hint system isn’t great. Overall a good enough experience that we keep going back.

Overall theming was good, though nothing particularly surprising or unique. Puzzles flowed well, however they were not particularly difficult. I wish this company would upgrade the quality of the speakers they use for audio clues or provide a transcript afterward; this is the third one of their rooms where I’ve had trouble hearing what a recording says. That said, I did hear enough to figure it out and all of the props otherwise functioned well and nothing was broken. Difficulty level 6/10 A fun way to spend an hour of your day and not get frustrated with overly cryptic puzzles.
The Clockwork Caper
Perplexity Games Escape Room – Cleveland

First half is more of a scavenger hunt, second half is a bunch of puzzles. Overall room theming was cool, but we found the puzzles to be too easy. There weren’t screens or a real hint system in place; the GM instead called over the wall or passed notes under the door. When we were working on the final puzzle we were enjoying debating and figuring it out, but the GM came in the room and gave us first a hint and then the solution without us asking for either, which made for a frustrating ending.
