Cabin CultStrange World Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLThis game was so super fun and so unique!! I really did feel like I was in a spooky cabin in the woods mixed with some adult comedy. The theming and atmosphere in this room is amazing and the space is massive. You can tell the owners put heaps of love into their craft as the live actor dedication was on another level! The puzzles fit the theme so well and flow beautifully. A keen attention to detail is needed for this room and be prepared for heaps of jump scares!
The Flaming PearlEclipse EscapeEscape roomIRLThe theming of this room was nice and the space was used well however found that it fell a little bit short in terms of some of the play elements. This room is very linear in which you are guided to work on certain puzzles at once, these puzzles are also in isolated areas so do not need to do much searching kind of making it feel more like a puzzle room then escape room. Some of the puzzles could have been better worked to incorporate with the theme but overall definitely a must do escape room on the Gold Coast. We played as a group of two experienced players and finished with plenty of time left with no hints, but would be suitable for groups of 3-6.
The Puppet MasterEclipse EscapeEscape roomIRLAnother decent room by eclipse escape!! Personally this room is a great addition to their line up but I wouldn’t say it’s ground breaking or anything special. There are a few cool puzzles in the room that I haven’t seen done before and working really well with the theming. The biggest downfall is that this room is very heavy on word based puzzles and reading. Word based puzzles are heaps of fun when used correctly, this room had too many for my liking!! We did the expert mode so it did make it harder. Overall solid room with good theming and flow of puzzles, would recommend if in the area!
Dark DungeonLost LocksEscape roomIRLVery different room done in complete darkness. Definitely worth checking out if your into something different and scary. Game master was amazing as always and the puzzles were not so hard you couldn’t do them even without vision. Not for anyone who doesn’t like scary rooms for is afraid of the dark tho.
Under the Big TopEscape Artists ChristchurchEscape roomIRLPlayed this room with a 7 and 9 year old and found it really good for getting them involved. The puzzles were the right amount of difficulty that everyone could help out. The room could do with some background music however as it was lacking in that department.
