Hope End
The Ministry Of Peculiarities
Escape room
IRL
This company did an amazing job at being immersive! As soon as you step into the building you are in the story. I really enjoyed that aspect of it. The live actors did really well. The puzzles were really fun. 10/10 would recommend.
The Last Supper
Quest Tavern
Escape room
IRL
This room was amazing. I’m not usually one that enjoys live actors, but our Lord Garrick did an amazing job. If you play along with the acting it is 100x better. This room was a little scary, but not the type of scary where you get anxiety or crippling fear. It was a fun scary because there was also joking involved. HIGHLY recommend.

This room was a lot of fun. As soon as you walk in, you are in the game. The puzzles were different and challenging. The hint system was very creative so that’s always appreciated. Would not recommend for an all beginner group though.
Lab Rat
Hatch Escapes
Escape room
IRL
This room was really fun. Our first ever LA room with a bigger budget. The room was huge so I would recommend a good amount of people(maybe 5-6). The room was immersive and has good puzzles.
The Hex Room
Cross Roads Escape Games
Escape room
IRL
This room was really cool in the fact that you have different characters. You can take the quiz online to determine which character you are and then you play as that character. Or they allow you to pick if you want to do that. My group and I dressed up as our characters because we took the quiz beforehand and knew who was who. You can essentially play this room multiple times as long as you play as a different character. The puzzles were fun and clever. They weren’t too hard. Wouldn’t recommend as a first room for anyone though.
Odditorium Emporium
EscapeX Rooms - Costa Mesa
Escape room
IRL
This room is different because it’s not an escape room. The goal is not to escape, but to collect as many points as you can. This game has the ability to be played multiples times and I love that! There are little quirky parts of the games that make it fun! Can’t wait to go back and replay it!
The Bridge Between
Quest Tavern
Escape room
IRL
Quest Tavern never disappoints. The Bridge Between was magical and highly immersive. It is a non-linear room and there were a lot of puzzles happening at the same time so communication is very important in this room. I definitely would recommend this room, but not for a group of beginners.
Irvine School Of Wizardry And The Dragon Wand
Hidden Donkey
Escape room
IRL
This room is just magical. I am obsessed with Harry Potter and this room is as close as you can get to Harry Potter without going to universal studios. It’s a high tech room and very creative. 15/10. Not one bad thing to say.
Headcase
Breaking Point Escape Rooms
Escape room
IRL
Headcase was a lot of fun. Really nonlinear. Game was immersive. Had a great video in the beginning to help set up the storyline. Definitely recommend.
The 13th Basement
The Exit Game - Anaheim
Escape room
IRL
I love/hate scary rooms, and this room was a lot of fun! This room is more of a parody making fun of other escape rooms but it still has its jump scares. Puzzles were easy/medium difficulty so it is beginner friendly. The room was done very well and you can tell that the owners really care and are passionate about what they do. I HIGHLY recommend this room even to people who don’t like scary rooms.
