We’ve played all the rooms at Mystic’s Littleton location, so we were stoked to see another room open closer to us in Denver. The room was excellent with some fun, techy mechanics and puzzles that were the right amount of fun and challenge. We did the room with four people and it was just right. They have also re-modeled the bar out front, and it is SO cute now! A major upgrade from when this spot was the escapist. The bartenders were very friendly, and we tried one of the non-alcoholic holiday cocktails and it was delicious! You also get a free drink coupon when you escape the room! Excited that they just opened a second room at this location- can’t wait to go back!

This room was perfect for this because it’s non-linear, so there was always something for everyone to work on. There was also a lot of fun tech!
Dragon RealmMile High Escape OpsEscape roomIRLWhat an amazing room!! The set is super immersive, and there were some unique and fun puzzle mechanics I’ve never seen before. Can’t wait to try their other room!
Timeliner: Train Through TimeThe Escape Game - Lone TreeEscape roomIRLWe did this room with a big group of 7 adults. This room worked o great for a big group! We were a bit cramped, but not awful, and there were plenty of clues and puzzles to work on that there wasn’t too much sitting around waiting for other people. The game itself was fun, with lots of high tech puzzles. We’ve done 3 of the rooms at this location now, and this was the favorite of most of the group.
Cosmic CrisisThe Escape Game - Lone TreeEscape roomIRLFun, tech-heavy room. Everything worked well, and there were some fun mechanics I haven’t seen before. I do think they are a little pricy (especially if you want to play a private game), but the quality of the games do live up to the cost.
The HeistThe Escape Game - Lone TreeEscape roomIRLWhat a fun game! The game masters were very welcoming and kind (even after I came in kind of grouchy from the heat). The Heist was a fun mix of tech and mechanical puzzles, and there was plenty for four people to do the whole time. Excited to play the other rooms at this location! Heads up that the escape room is located near Dry Bar- GPS gets you pretty close!
Ten Days in a MadhouseClueClock EscapeEscape roomIRLWhat a fun room! They start you out in straight jackets and blindfolded, which makes for a lot of laughs from the start. Our game master was helpful and funny.
Ruins: Forbidden TreasureThe Escape Game - Berry HillEscape roomIRLWhat a fun room! Lots of tech and very immersive. Some really fun, immersive puzzles and rooms that are very unique. We made it through the room just fine with 3 adults. There were a few things that showed some wear and tear, but our game master was good at guiding us around that.
PlaygroundThe Escape Game - Berry HillEscape roomIRLWhat a fun room!!! Tons and tons of puzzles, and very youthful and fun. The puzzles themselves aren’t an overly tough, but there are a lot of them which means lots of action throughout the whole room. We played with 4 adults and one pre-teen and it was just right.
Lunar Escape - CLOSEDMission EscapesEscape roomIRLThis was SO fun!! Easily one of the best rooms in Denver. The puzzles were unique and beautifully done, and the game was just fun. I can’t remember another escape room that made me laugh and feel joyful like this one. Do it!!
The Space AcademyLocked In EdinburghEscape roomIRLSuch a fun experience! The game master was welcoming and exciting, which start the room off on a fun note. The room itself was challenging, but we managed to barely escape with 2 people. 4 people would be ideal - more than that I think it’d be too crowded. Also apparently the escape rooms are dog friendly! They even have a doggie leaderboard!
The Murder of Max Sinclair [prev. Case Closed]Case Closed EdinburghEscape roomIRLWhat a wonderful escape room!! You can tell a lot of thought and heart went into designing this game, and it pays off! The game is immersive and requires deduction and thinking, not just opening random code locks. For a 90 minute room, I was engaged throughout. The hosts were friendly and welcoming - they even mentioned that after our group they had a French group, so they were translating clues into French for them!!
Trouble At The Lucky Bird SaloonThe Crooked KeyEscape roomIRLWe’ve played all the games at Crooked Key now. This one had a fun Western theme and was a nice level of challenge- not too easy and not too hard.
The Upside DownThe Wreck Room Escape GameEscape roomIRLThis was the first game we’ve done here and it was awesome! The lobby is cool with fun retro video games while you wait. The games master was friendly and helpful. The room itself had really fun 80s vibes, and the puzzles were really well executed. It is obvious that a lot of thought went into these rooms!!
The AttractionPalace GamesEscape roomIRLWhile visiting the Bay Area we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to try Palace Games! I’ve heard it is one of the best rooms in the US, so I went in with big expectations. The tech was amazing and unique. The game play was okay - good, but not “best in the country” good. Overall it was definitely a fun way to spend the afternoon on vacation! Make sure you explore the Palace of the Fine Arts before/after your game too, because it is gorgeous!
Project Iceworm - CLOSED21 Keys Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLThe staff at 21 keys is great! This room wasn’t my favorite though. The puzzles got a bit repetitive and it was a lot of combo locks.
The NeighborSteal and EscapeEscape roomIRLThis was one of the top 3 rooms I’ve ever played. So fun! Can’t wait to visit San Diego again and play more games here.
Flashover! - CLOSEDThe Crooked KeyEscape roomIRLLots of cute mechanics in this room! Would be great for kids (although there are parts that might be a little spooky for very young kids). There are a few clues that are in unconventional places I never would have found without hints.
