It’s a magical experience with lots of fun puzzles for sure. One thing that made it even better was the wit and aid of our game host Mi. She gave a great intro with rhymes and helped us make the most of our experience. This is a tricky room so I recommend a larger group and some experience :)
Abandon ShipPuzzled Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLA really fun game hidden away in Cardiff! Lots of interesting puzzles to do and requires quite a bit of thinking! Our game host was super helpful and the setting was quite immersive. I recommend checking these guys out if you are in the area!

The puzzles are all super creative and when we found out where certain things were hidden we were amazed! Just a really unique theme and a must do if you are in Birmingham 😁

I wouldn’t class it as an escape room more of an immersive game/adventure experience. The set design was amazing and the actors were good fun. Certain aspects we felt we didn’t get enough time to fully complete and you are placed with strangers if you don’t have a big group. I enjoyed meeting and participating with new people and found it quite the fun thing to do on a random afternoon. The company is practically impossible to contact however if you have any issues and it’s quite pricey for what it is so make sure it’s right for you before you get tickets

They really went all out with their set design and the puzzles feel like they gel well with the theme and are good fun too! We went as a 4 and felt this was the perfect number, any more would have been a bit squished! Some things I hadn’t seen before, I highly recommend

Mega BiteClue CrackerEscape roomIRLA really cool latest edition to clue cracker’s amazing games. The theme was unique and the set design was super immersive and such an incredible idea. Could be quite tricky at times but had a really fun theme throughout with a cool ending to boot!
Into The ReliquaryDarkmaster Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLDarkmasters is always one for amazing sets and great immersion. Into the Reliquary is a really cool room with awesome set design. In terms of difficulty it is one of their easier rooms but there are some interesting puzzles still! If you are in the Kent area do not miss this one! We felt really immersed and enjoyed the experience throughout, the GMs are very friendly too.
ImmateriumEscapologic - NottinghamEscape roomIRLThis was a really cool and immersive escape room! If you’re a fan of Warhammer it is a must do! The set design is amazing and had a cool story throughout to with a good flow. Was a bit on the easy side but still good fun

The room itself is rather low tech and decorations are not groundbreaking but it’s all on theme and it gives that classic escape room feel. The puzzles are really fun and all fit within the theme too - some of them were quite creative! If you are in the area I recommend you try this place out :) I look forward to doing more of their rooms
Wizarding School: Fang of the Serpent - CLOSEDBreakin' Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLThis room was really fun! I really enjoyed the mechanic they used for the puzzles and the atmosphere was really well crafted. I find wizarding school rooms can feel really same-y especially with the Harry Potter theme, which this room also incorporates, but I still really enjoyed it. Make sure you don’t forget your glasses if you are short sighted as there’s a lot to look at 😁
The Legend Of Miyalock: Forbidden MagicClue HQ BirminghamEscape roomIRLThe GM was really friendly and gave us hints just when we needed them! This room is really pretty and has some fun puzzles themed around it. I really want to go back to try their other games! If you’re in Birmingham looking for a room to do I 100% recommend this one! If I was to note anything the building has a lot of stairs and the room can be a bit physical, just something to think about if you have mobility issues.
Rob The BankGatwick Escape Rooms / Know EscapeEscape roomIRLThis room is good fun. In terms of puzzles I wouldn’t really call it a puzzle focused room more of an interactive robbing the bank experience. The intro is really cool and you feel very immersed. Compared to other bank heist rooms I’ve done this is definitely my favourite. We were sweating at the end so don’t wear too many layers 😂
Shamley’s Toy MakersDarkmaster Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLOverall I enjoyed Shamley’s. It is a fun room and it is so massive with a lot of different puzzles to enjoy and you never know what to expect as you move between rooms. I think one of the main things that makes it difficult is the sheer number of puzzles. We really cut it close with the timing even with a team of 5. I think some puzzles aren’t very intuitive which could be frustrating and I didn’t feel as immersed as I did in their other room that I’ve done. However, it is still a really good room! Just make sure to have a big team with experienced escapers if you want to get out in 90 minutes 😊 I also really enjoyed the initial introduction and the set design was incredible.
BeanstalkTimberVaultEscape roomIRLThis room is a unique take on heist-style escape rooms where you collect eggs instead of cash. It’s a fun room and immersive set design. There are lots of puzzles to do so if you are feeling competitive I recommend a large team!
Deep Trouble - CLOSEDGatwick Escape Rooms / Know EscapeEscape roomIRLThis was a really fun escape room! The submarine setting was really immersive and I really enjoyed the versus dynamic. We managed as a pair so if you want to try it as just two of you don’t be afraid to call ahead to check :) The puzzles were creative and the ending was really cool. These escape rooms can be a little toasty so don’t wrap up too warm as well as wear flexible and sensible clothes. There’s some reliance on auditory processing in this room so I don’t recommend it as much if you struggle to process audio/ are hard of hearing.
Sub Zero - CLOSEDEscape PlymouthEscape roomIRLThis is definitely one of their harder rooms but my sister and I still managed it as an experienced pair! I’d say go for a big group if you are beginners as there is a lot to get done. It’s a fun room nevertheless! I enjoyed the set up as it felt like we were on a submarine and we got fully immersed racing against the time pressure.
The Quest to Save CamelotTimeQuestEscape roomIRLThis company is very friendly and accommodating. We had great conversations with the staff either side of the escape room which added to the overall experience. The room was super fun - a great game if you like physical puzzles and a lot of out of the box searching/thinking. It was a unique escape room and we got fully immersed in the experience. Whilst my partner and I were able to get out on time we were very close to not getting out (less than a minute left) so if you are less experienced then I recommend going as a group of 3 or 4. It’s not a super high tech room but still a great experience overall.
Raver QuestPier PressureEscape roomIRLRaver quest was good fun, lots of game-like puzzles and a very interactive room. We felt very immersed in the set and I liked the clue mechanic! The GM was also lots of fun! A very high energy company. The only thing I’d mention is that if you have a neurodiversity this room is super over stimulating and requires audio processing at the same time as lots of visual stimuli.
