Ronnie’s House
NW Escape Experience
Escape room
IRL
This is a fun one to do with a group! If you aren’t into being scared, I’d avoid this one, but it is not overly terrifying at all. The game master is engaged with the players and really brings the atmosphere and intensity up. Not entirely linear puzzles, but they progress as you move along. (Trying to avoid spoilers). We did this with a group of 6, 4 experienced and 2 newbies. Enough to solve to work as a group or pairs. Scared a different escape room group as we exited with 7 seconds left! This one has earned awards and they are well deserved.

I want to return to do the other 2 “rooms”. You are in a mansion, so up and down stairs (side note: how would people with mobility challenges complete these? Not sure, but if an issue, be sure to call ahead.) There are 3 different “rooms” in the mansion, and the one you are working on has a specific symbol so you aren’t trying to get into rooms that aren’t a part of your journey. Each room has a different kind of puzzle, and you definitely want to do this with multiple people and thinking styles. 4 experienced people completed this one and we had a blast but also felt challenged. Everything was well maintained and puzzles worked. Game master helpful when needed. Really unique concept.

2 experienced players didn’t complete it. This is a challenging room, but would be great for a bigger group. Thematically, it was terrific, and the clues were all resolvable. Logically put together and lots of fun. We were warned it would be difficult for 2 and they were right! I would definitely recommend it. Our game master was incredibly helpful and generous. Read the clues very carefully.

Always recommend Portal, they are thoughtful and detailed rooms.
Sasquatch On Site

Escape room

We have done Sasquatch twice, so that should give our recommendation right there! Big enough room to accommodate a larger group, and plenty of puzzles to solve. Game masters are responsive as needed and everything is set up for your success. This company does a nice job with their rooms, everything really adds to the atmosphere and experience. We escaped both times, had fun working with others and appreciate the game play. They also have had an online escape adventure that ties to this theme.

We have done this room 3 times, escaped each time. (There’s the recommendation!) Love the atmosphere and everything is pretty well maintained, puzzles work, and game masters really add to the immersion of the experience. This is a fun one to do with newbies, our first time we had only done 1 other room before and had so much fun. Without spoilers, you have several kinds of puzzles to resolve and different people can approach these puzzles pretty easily. Really an enjoyable room! Love this theme as well.
Polybius Lives

Polybius is super fun! The room kept us busy and engaged the whole time. We had to ask for 1 hint, but otherwise we knew what we needed to do so it was just a matter of working together and completing each task. The puzzles were awesome! While it centers around a video game, non geeky folks will enjoy it and be able to complete the room. Highly recommend and get it there SOON!

Really recommend this one. My husband and I did it together and with our experience level, we were seconds away from completing it, so it’s definitely do-able with 2. It’s a small room, so no more than 4, and I think they say that when you book it. The game masters also help with the entire experience.
Out Of The Past

Escape room
IRL
This is part of a 2 room game experience related to time travel. You don’t have to do one to do the other, so they are standalone. This one takes you into the past and the theme is well developed since my first time in the room. Be sure to look closely at everything, of course. Everything in the room has a purpose, a clue. There are many clues, and it’s challenging to track everything… we went with an escape room virgin, so…. Super fun as always!

We did this one with the same couple as we did Out of the Past, and they are pretty experienced players. Super fun and engaging, lots to do, and had some pretty funny moments. Loved all of the puzzles, had to really work together as a team to finally escape. Really enjoyed the element of being connected to another room as a thematic element, adding to the fun and desire to escape with bragging rights. Solid construction, everything worked as expected, and the Game Master was always ready to assist.
