Mystery Box 2: ERROR 404 [prev. Mystery Box]Ultimate RoomscapeEscape roomIRLNot an escape room necessarily - just a room full of puzzles. Working together, with a fun voiceover and enjoyable puzzles. If you're looking for a traditional narrative escape room, try another at Ultimate Roomscape - but for a hectic hour of random puzzle solving this one is your jam πͺπ»
MeltdownUltimate RoomscapeEscape roomIRLAn enjoyable room, but very number heavy and the flow was a little off - having to navigate through the space and going back to where you've already been several times did feel a little clunky. The ending was quite fun.
The JungleLOST REALITY Escape Room CanningtonEscape roomIRLYeah nah, not intiutave at all - too many padlocks for a jungle themed room. Should preface more that it is essentially the board game jumanji and you're moving pieces rather than solving puzzles. Least fav at Lost Reality
BunkerFox in a Box PerthEscape roomIRLWas alright, challenging puzzles. Luckily my best mate carried us throughout. We believe one of the puzzles was broken and didn't trigger something, so that chopped up some time until it was triggered for us.. Sped through the ending, enjoyed elements but overall a bit lackluster
Sherlock Holmes: London is FallingLOST REALITY Escape Room CanningtonEscape roomIRLA good use of physical props and nice set design - although sections of the room were falling apart (electrical tape everywhere...) A bit physical as well which was intriguing, but rough on the knees. Enjoyed the room itself but a few touch ups needed
School of SorceryLOST REALITY Escape Room CanningtonEscape roomIRLWizard and magic themes are my guilty pleasure, and this nailed it. A fun time, including a puzzle where you get to eat! Room was goregous, puzzles were interactive and immersive. Maybe needed a bit more narrative for the ending, but otherwise my favourite at Lost Reality Cannington so far π§π»ββοΈ
Experiment XLOST REALITY Escape Room CanningtonEscape roomIRLStarted off a bit slow, missed a discovery puzzle easily, but then picked up as we went on. An instruction manual in the room guides you through, but physical puzzles and props were well constructed.
The OrphanageLost Reality - BelmontEscape roomIRLStarts strong, but weakens as game goes on. Not super scary, a little spooky but mainly at the start. A few issues with the lighting, too dark in areas, but well dressed. Not a super clear narrative either, but good physical puzzles.
Lost TempleLost Reality - BelmontEscape roomIRLA fun adventure room, good physical puzzles and a really cool element in the beginning that I didn't expect. Unfortunately, a prop/puzzle was broken so took a little time away but otherwise the puzzles were all enjoyable. Good teamwork, unique elements and fun narrative. Got me Indiana Jones on!
Clockwork ExpressUltimate RoomscapeEscape roomIRLA goregous set design, best looking room at Roomscape. Played the room with 5, but room should be 2 - 4 max - couple of fun puzzles but a little cramped in the space. Need a few more speakers as couldn't hear the audio narration too well, but otherwise the room looks great and has a good mix of puzzles.
Lost TombEscape This - Perth CBD, Hay Street MallEscape roomIRLAbsolutely stunning experience. One of the biggest rooms in Perth - set is goregous, puzzles are fun but definitely challenging. Super satisfying when we got the answers, another banger by Escape This!
Prison BreakFox in a Box PerthEscape roomIRLJust meh - set was okay, the beginning was fun, but puzzles lacked intuition. Not much narrative, so didn't feel super accomplished when we escaped.
Sinister CircusLOST REALITY Escape Room CanningtonEscape roomIRLA good experience, but not for more than 3 people. Felt a little cramped in spaces, but the puzzles were alright. Theming was cool but could have gone harder with the horror - didn't really feel a strong narrative. Worth playing, ending is cool.
The Chamber of Lost LegendsFox in a Box PerthEscape roomIRLI realllly enjoyed this one - my kind of puzzles. Needed one clue at the beginning that we definitely overthought.. after that we sailed through. One of the best set dressing at Fox in a Box, puzzles are enjoyable.
Wild Western Jail BreakEscape Hunt - PerthEscape roomIRLPadlock central - said to be quite interactive as the group is split in the beginning, but didn't feel like we working together. Not really intutive, rather find a code somewhere and try it on every lock you find! And even though we were doing a puzzle correctly, the GM had to come in and tell us to kick the cupboard open..
The Adventurers' Guild - Chapter One: A Rocky BeginningEscape SquadEscape roomIRLYeah nah - no good. Puzzles had no flow, not immersive at all. So many red herrings and you have ro rely on a journal to tell you what's next..
Zombie LabFox in a Box PerthEscape roomIRLAn alright experience at Fox in a Box - compared to some of their other experiences. Set design was lack luster, but the puzzles were in theme. Luckily I had a math wizard playing alongside me otherwise I probably would have died..
Frankenstein ResurrectionEscape This - Perth, NorthbridgeEscape roomIRLAbsolutely goregous set design, the immersion is top notch - strategic lighting to keep you in the world. The creature is awesome, heaps of teamwork required!
Zombie ApocalypseEscape This - Perth, NorthbridgeEscape roomIRLA blast! The use of space is very clever, the jumpscares are very effective. Unlike your traditional escape room, puzzles are linear but can have you needing to complete components simultaneously - team work is vital! Sound, lighting and set design is awesome as always!
Beyond Medusa's Gate [VR] - CLOSEDOptimus GamingEscape roomIRLI'm coming around to the idea of VR escape rooms - with the headset and headphones on, you do get immersed in the world. These were built pretty well, and while they aren't necessarily puzzles, it was still fun
