This was a super unique room. I loved it especially for weaving some physical challenges into puzzle solving. The owner Alain is the most enthusiastic and welcoming GM we have met (and the story behind the business is great too). Important note on physicality is that you should be in reasonable shape (think: ok with light scrambling during a hike, ok with walking on a bouncy house, ok with climbing the intro wall at a bouldering gym). It is not elite level climbing but having a baseline of fitness makes everything safer. My husband who is 33, with a desk job, and who doesn’t exercise in any notable way but is ok with walking 5 miles for a hike was able to do it. They also offer many many modifications and a physical presence in the room for safety so you should feel safe at all times. Transport from Gare de Lyon via the Transilien was simple and cheap, and then a 15 minute walk to the escape room.

You need a good command of Mandarin to understand the storyline and act out your character and interact with the many actors. It would have been a clear TERPECA contender if it had an English version. There are not only group puzzles that push forward the main narrative, you also get character specific sets of puzzles that push forward your character’s narrative. There are also hidden quests. A top experiences even though the puzzles were not super challenging, the experience was one of the most immersive that I have seen.
