Our GM was great and it is definitely a cute spin on a usually typical escape room theme.

Puzzles were challenging for the two of us, but the GM said we did okay as a group of two and was willing to accommodate for certain puzzles. Would probably be easier with 4. I think the only let down is that this room is pretty hyped up, but I’m not sure if it lived up to the hype. Certain aspects of it were very cool while others fell flat.
TUTXscape! MorgantownEscape roomIRLGREAT ROOM! It is so fun and unique and I loved the puzzles in here. We were able to escape with a group of two so I think doable. I liked their spin on the Egyptian room theme and they had unique puzzles. A must visit!

The staff here were really awesome and let us play even though we were late because of traffic. :) The puzzles were not really my cup of tea, but I think it’s 100% worth a visit if you’re in the area!

We did this with two (which is tricky) but we were able to complete it with maybe 2 hints. For my anxious friends, there were some tense moments with mild jump scares, but nothing too terrible. The GM was great and answered my questions about the scare level because I was nervous. I highly recommend!

Nothing scary and no jump scares. Their concept of providing extra bonus puzzles for extra points is really fun (but the bonuses are kind of hard lol). Highly recommend!!!!

Bites MotelBite The FlyEscape roomIRLThis room was SCARY! They have definitely made significant changes as previous google reviews mention tension setting not being scary at all. We originally asked for tension mode, but changed when we got there, but still terrifying (in my opinion). My partner, who enjoys scary things, said I’d be okay because of the website saying they’re not trying to scare you and the reviews, but even agrees afterwards, that it is definitely scary. There are also some gory moments. Although I was scared the whole time, this experience was really something else. They really built a whole house inside of a building. Our GM/actor was awesome and the second the room ended, he was asking how I was and what I thought of it. I would recommend doing this room and if you’re scared, and I would recommend letting them know, and they are pretty accommodating. Larger groups might be better during scary moments, but because it was just the two of us, I was a bit more nervous than usual.
Παρεκκλήσι & Κατακόμβες [Chapel & Catacombs]Lockhill - Nea IoniaEscape roomIRLThis was a life changing experience. The set is HUGE and literally felt like we had been transported to Lockhill. Immersion was next level, the actors and worker were literally in character. If you’re a scaredy cat (like myself), you are going to lose your mind. I had to ask them to get rid of the actors because I was absolutely terrified. I appreciated that that was an option because we still got to experience the greatness of the room. Even without the actors, the general atmosphere was still scary, and I noticed they still included some scary bits but didn’t let us see them, which is very impressive. Highly recommend even if you’re scared, just ask them to dial it down. You have to go!

We did not have an issue with 2 people but we definitely finished with probably a minute or 2 left.
The Grand Parlor13th Hour Escape Room - WhartonEscape roomIRLVery fun escape room! The set is beautiful and has two stories. Definitely NOT doable with two people (unless you’re an expert, which we are trying to get there!) We probably had about 1/3 of the room left to finish. Some of the puzzles were not intuitive and some things were there early on in the room which we didn’t use till way later. One complaint is that it is in an open warehouse so you can very easily hear teams in other rooms. I get distracted easily (like Doug from UP) so it threw me off at times. Not super terrible though, and definitely still doable with the noise. Also, not scary at all! If you scare easy (like myself) you will be perfectly fine. they do have actors there during certain times of the year so just be wary of that.
