The Big Top: The Curious Case of The Missing Clown

The Big Top: The Curious Case of The Missing Clown

The Whole game was very small and cramped for 4 people. (Not sure how bigger groups would fit). Theme in the first room was really good and the rest was ok I guess. Allot of the game was either broken or just looked very worn even though it is a new venue. The game had a very simple game flow and simple puzzles. Anyone that has played allot of escape rooms will be disappointed although if this is your first escape room you would probably still enjoy it and have a good time. As for price this was a very expensive escape room and I have played much better escape rooms for much cheaper.

The moment you walked in you were met with a very unprofessional woman. Who was sitting on her phone and then tried to up-sell another game before we even played the one we were booked for. On walking in to the game you could see Lots of props in the game that were either very badly worn or damaged. Along with lots of holes and damage on the wall panels. Lots of rules of “DO not do this” before we started. Felt like being told of before doing anything wrong. I hate this approach from games masters. I feel you should always Taylor your briefing towards the group. As a team who have done allot of escape rooms you do not need this level of rules and should not need to explain things like “how to open a padlock” When playing the game I Felt like they were not watching us at all as we got out in 25 mins and no one was there to greet us at the end. Waiting around about 8 mins before someone came.

The game was really good although Felt like the puzzles were bought in and the intro was very long before going in to the game. Did not enjoy the idea of someone talking to you over the speakers. Felt like they were spying on you. Even though I do understand they have got to watch you to know where you are in the game at all times and give relevant clues but personally I don’t like the idea of giving clues over the speakers. Escape room was really expensive and the pricing structure is complicated.
