They genuinely make you feel like part of an expedition crew journeying through the jungle and deep into the earth.The attention to detail is incredible, and the immersion never lets up. My only minor criticism is that some sections are very dark, perhaps a little too dark at times. I'd recommend providing at least one torch per team, as we found ourselves stuck on a few occasions simply because the lighting was so low. That said, this was an absolutely incredible experience and one of the most memorable adventure-style rooms I've done. I'm already looking forward to whatever they create next.A special thank you to Jess, who looked after us throughout the experience. She was patient, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating despite our late-night booking and the fact that we ran over time. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a truly immersive adventure rather than a traditional puzzle-focused escape room.

Puzzles and Gameplay Puzzles tied well into the theme, offering solid challenges overall, though some felt more vague than genuinely difficult, leaving us scratching our heads a bit longer than expected. The hint system could use improvement—it’s a bit slow to arrive, even if the costumed game masters fit the prison vibe perfectly. Overall Experience We didn’t escape as seasoned veterans, but the fun atmosphere and quality production left us keen to return if we’re ever back this way. Solid pick for escape room fans looking for immersion north of Sydney.

As usual with Scram, the theming and immersion are top-notch – the atmosphere really pulls you into the story. There’s a great variety of puzzles, all well tied to the theme, which makes the whole experience suspenseful and fun. We’re seasoned escape room players, and we found this one to be on the harder side. It might benefit from a little more time, since there’s alot to do and getting stuck on one or two puzzles can really doom your chances at escaping. Overall, definitely one of the better Scram rooms out there!

There was a real lack of direction from one puzzle to the next, so we ended up burning through a lot more clues than we usually do just to keep things moving. The experience felt more like guesswork than a fun challenge. While the room itself looks impressive and is clearly inspired by Harry Potter, the gameplay suffered because many tasks simply didn’t make sense. Our GM was helpful last time we visited, but on this occasion, it seemed like he just wanted to get it over with and go home, which only added to our frustration. Altogether, it wasn’t as enjoyable or well run as other escape rooms we’ve done, unless you’re in it purely for the set design, it’s hard to recommend this one.

If you’re looking for a well-balanced, thoughtfully designed room that will make you think without beating you down, Zen is a worthy challenge.

The late-night 10 PM session was a fantastic option, making it perfect for a post-dinner adventure—something not many escape rooms in Sydney offer. Our game master, Jhon, was exceptional. Despite the late hour, he was full of energy and thoroughly invested in the storyline, which really enhanced the immersion. His enthusiasm and clear instructions set the tone for the challenging experience ahead. Billed as the hardest room at Paniq Room, The Hotel Lift lives up to its reputation. The puzzles were intricate, creative, and varied, requiring strong teamwork and attention to detail. One unique aspect of the room was the separation mechanic, which had us split into different areas for almost half the time. While this added an exciting layer of complexity, it could be a challenge for groups with uneven skill levels, as teamwork across the divide is critical. We did find one or two puzzles to be a bit vague, and for me it’s hard to imagine solving them without hints from the game master. That said, the overall quality of the room and its design more than made up for these minor issues. The set was immersive, the tasks were diverse, and the challenge level was perfect for experienced players. Overall, The Hotel Lift stands out as one of the best escape rooms in Sydney. With its high-quality puzzles, engaging storyline, and well-designed mechanics, it’s a must-try for escape room enthusiasts looking for a memorable and challenging experience.

The tension and atmosphere were perfectly balanced, making for a heart-pounding yet fun experience. Having completed over 80 escape rooms myself, I can confidently say this room stands out as a masterpiece. It’s not just good—it’s potentially the best I’ve ever done. The focus here is all about getting you immersed in the story without making you jump out of your skin every five seconds. They struck a nice balance, if you ask me. Now, picture this: you’re seated. Yeah, you heard me right. Seated. None of that running-around-like-a-headless-chicken business. It’s a refreshing change, let me tell you. Being planted in one spot really hones your focus on the puzzles. No distractions, no unnecessary legwork – just good old-fashioned brain-teasing fun. Props to the owners, by the way. These guys know their stuff. They’ve been around the escape room block and it shows. Their experience shines through in every aspect of Seance, from the puzzles to the atmosphere. Overall, Seance at The Cool Space gets a big thumbs up from me. Can’t wait to see what other tricks they’ve got up their sleeves.
