Doomsday Disaster: Bunker Tested, Apocalypse AppovedMystery Soup Escape Rooms [prev. Lock & Clue Escape Rooms]Escape roomIRLI absolutely loved the environment of this room. It really had me feeling like I was trying to survive the apocalypse in this bunker. I especially loved all the legally-distinct nods to the Fallout games.
The VaultMystery Soup Escape Rooms [prev. Lock & Clue Escape Rooms]Escape roomIRLThis room was a great classic heist-type room. I loved all the different types of safes in the room and unlocking all the different parts.
Video ValhallaExit 4 Escape Rooms - DelranEscape roomIRLThis room was so much fun! It was such a unique experience and something I’ve never seen done before. We had a blast going back to the ’90s in this retro video store, and the attention to detail in the props was incredible. There’s so much to look at that you could easily spend a good amount of time just taking in all the little details. You can tell someone had a lot of fun creating this room. It was incredibly immersive and had some clever, creative puzzles that I’ve never encountered in other escape rooms. I’d say this room is definitely on the easier side, especially for veteran escape room players, but that absolutely doesn’t take away from the experience. We did use one hint, but it was for something we had completely overlooked. If we had waited just a little longer, we probably would have figured it out ourselves! Overall, this was such a fun and unique room, and I’d absolutely recommend it. Sometimes it’s nice to have a room that lets you enjoy the theme and experience without being overly difficult!
Davy Jones’ LockerExit 4 Escape Rooms - DelranEscape roomIRLDavey Jones’ Locker was a really fun room! While it wasn’t quite as unique as Valhalla, it was still incredibly immersive and did a great job of bringing the pirate theme to life. The set design and attention to the theme made it easy to get pulled into the experience. There were also some really unique puzzles in this room that fit the theme extremely well. I always appreciate when the puzzles feel like they belong in the world rather than just being placed there, and this room did a great job with that. This one was definitely a bit more challenging than Video Valhalla. We ended up using three hints to help get us back on track a few times, so I’d say this is a good option if you’re looking for something with a little more difficulty. Overall, a really enjoyable room with a great theme, clever puzzles, and plenty to keep you engaged.
Houdini's Prestige [prev. Houdini's Magic Cell]All In Adventures - HadleyEscape roomIRLThis is NOT a true escape room experience! This was the WORST room I've ever done, and I've done tons of escape rooms. There is absolutely no immersion. The rooms have open ceilings, so you can hear people in the neighboring rooms the entire time, which completely takes you out of the experience. There also isn't a dedicated game master watching your game. If you ask for a hint, someone comes into the room, asks what you've already solved, and then gives you a hint, which is awkward and disruptive. It feels like a corporate business focused on packing in as many rooms of and customers as possible instead of creating an immersive, well-designed escape room. Definitely not worth the time or money, and I wouldn't visit an All In Adventures location again.
