Prison Break
The Escape Game
Escape room
IRL
This room, like all of The Escape Game’s rooms, has high production value and great set immersion. They’re definitely my favorite of the big national chains here in the Twin Cities, the puzzles are fun, teamwork and gameplay flows well, and staff were great. The only downside is they tend to play it safer in terms of creative or challenging puzzles, which does help them to be more accessible to a wider audience but I always appreciate a challenge or new puzzle type that I haven’t seen before.
Witchcraft Alley
Trapped Puzzle Rooms - North Loop

The sequel to their very popular Potter Escape Room, this one is maybe even better in my opinion. If you’ve played the first one you’ll definitely enjoy this one, and if not this is a great start anyway. A solid, well-themed room.
Eternity Battle: A Super Sequel Escape Room

Love the creativity of the puzzles in the room. Lots of fun surprises and satisfying solves. Definitely recommend if you’re up for a challenge, especially if you’re familiar with the not-so-subtle theme, there are a lot of funny moments and Easter eggs too.

Can’t go wrong with The Escape Game, they’ve got escape rooms down to a science. Cool props and set, thematic puzzles, dramatic moments. The only players I might not recommend this to would be advanced players looking for a challenge or unique puzzles, but even then this room is still a ton of fun to play.
It's All Fun and Games

Love the puzzles in this room, some of my favorite in the area for sure. Don’t be fooled by the youthful theme, this room will definitely make you think. Very fun, highly recommend.
A Very Potter Escape Room
Trapped Puzzle Rooms - Saint Paul

Very fun and creative room. Puzzles were clever and exciting. Even if you’ve never seen or read the books (who even are you?) it’s worth the visit hands down.
Kraken the Case (a.k.a. Changes in Latitude)
Zero Hour Escape Rooms

Biggest negative was the staff, our game master really just seemed like they did not want us to be there. Awkward interactions, no attempt at debrief after the room, just kinda stood there silently and waited for us to leave. Room itself was decent, some cool effects and props were pretty well done. Puzzle flow a little confusing but overall the weirdness of the employee left us feeling disappointed.
Nutcracker Nightmare
Trapped Puzzle Rooms - Saint Paul

As always with Trapped, the puzzles are well done, satisfyingly difficult, and never make me say “there’s no way I would have thought of that.” The theme wasn’t my favorite but that didn’t affect my experience much, and if you’re looking for a holiday themed room you’ll have a great time.
Wizard's Workshop
Hidden MN

Loved the set and props, lots of detail work. Gameplay and flow were a little murky, as all puzzles are out in the open from the start and most of the difficulty came from determining which aspects of the room belonged with which puzzles. I did feel like the ending was a little anticlimactic but overall a fun room and there were definitely fun and clever puzzles in there.
The Dig
Escape the Room - Minneapolis

I did really like this room when I played it probably close to 5 years ago now. Sets were great, puzzles were fun and not too frustrating, good surprises throughout. Overall an enjoyable and approachable room.
