This was our second attempt at an escape room. The first was a miserable experience. The GM walked us through what we needed to do and any special locks that would be used. The room itself was set up well and maintained. We didn't have any issues with things malfunctioning or not working. Overall, it was a a great experience.

We were warned by the game master that this room was her least favorite of all the rooms because "the science was too exact." And she was absolutely correct, so if science/math/geography are not your thing, this is not the room for you. We LOVED this room. I appreciated the different types of puzzles within the room. Sometimes I struggle in a room because it's all logic puzzles and I'm over thinking so having a room with puzzles that were rooted in science was a nice change for me. This room does require crawling so you do have to be mobile and dressed to move around. Overall loved this room.

While some of the puzzles were a bit challenging, the room itself was a giant white cube. We did have an issue with notes from the previous group being left on the clipboard we unlocked. We checked with the GM after and that was something that was missed during the reset. The puzzles were straightforward and it was obvious the order you needed to go in. The beginning does require that you be handcuffed so avoid if that would make you uncomfortable. They are basic safety cuffs so you can get them off yourself without the key. I am curious about how this room would work with more than two people. The rest of the group would be able to see both sides of the puzzle and have to stand there and be quiet and not help.

This room was our first experience at Novus. This was the first time we had to climb and crawl, but we had a blast. If you don't have someone in your group who is good at math, this room is going to suck. The puzzle at the end was my favorite part of the room. I will say, there were times when the lighting was solely red lighting then things were written in red and I found that irritating for my eyes. I felt like I was squinting the whole time. But that's my only negative for this room.

This was our first escape room experience and it was awful. The room was not well maintained. We got stuck multiple times because numbers were worn off and buttons were broke. The GM kept giving hints but was not understanding that the hints didn't help if the numbers were missing. We didn't complete solely because every single puzzle was broken or missing something.

Puzzles were not working. Set pieces were damaged. The GM did not understand during our time in the room and brushed us off when we tried to explain after our time was up.

Accessibility

Color blindness, vision, and mobility issues are a no go for this room. The room is dark with a lot of object sticking out from the walls and a large object in the middle. Multiple puzzles require identifying colors with very slight differences in shade.
