We originally booked Edeline at Cloud Escapes after I personally called and spoke with the owner beforehand. One of our teammates has severe anxiety, so it was extremely important for us to confirm that he would not be fully locked inside the room at any point and would be able to walk out if needed. I was very clear about this concern, and the owner assured me that he could exit at any time. Unfortunately, when we arrived and were about to begin, we learned that what I had been told was not accurate. There is a portion of Edeline where players cannot simply leave and must remain in that section until the required puzzles are solved. This was incredibly frustrating and concerning because I specifically called ahead to avoid this exact situation. Had our teammate entered the room believing he could leave whenever necessary and then discovered he was unable to, his anxiety could have escalated significantly and potentially resulted in damage to the room while trying to get out. Thankfully, our Game Master, Joseph, was honest with us before we started. I am extremely appreciative of him for taking our concern seriously, clearly explaining how the room actually works, and helping us switch to Kapow Komics instead. Because of Joseph, we were still able to have a great time and enjoy our experience. Joseph deserves 5 stars for his honesty, professionalism, and customer service. However, I am very disappointed that the information provided by the owner when I specifically called ahead was inaccurate. When a customer raises a safety or anxiety concern before booking, they need to be able to trust the information they are given. In our case, that information directly influenced which room we booked. Thank you again to Joseph for being upfront with us and making sure our group could still have a fun and comfortable experience.
