The Escape Game
Escape room

This company is by far my favorite. This room was large and had a high number of puzzles. It was really hard to get everything done with just 2 people but we had a fabulous time. Colorful and great design.

Much like all the rooms with this company the room was fun and felt like it followed a logical progression. We only needed 1 hint and that was because we had the right answer but didn’t line up the lock correctly. 🤦♀️ Did this room with another group and it was a good balance. There was one puzzle that required more math than I prefer but we figured it out.

The room was fun but too dark for me. Also there was a part that would have been easier with more than 2 people but we figured it out and ultimately solved the room. There were a few puzzle that didn’t work the first time we got it right due to not waiting long enough or other weird glitches but overall a solid room.

Super fun game with fun (and not frustrating) puzzles. Unfortunately this room maxes at 15 people and there were only 3 in our group. It was one time when I wished there were other people with us. This experience is too big to complete with just 3 people so they modified the game for us but still made it flow really well and adapted to us when we finished the modified area too early and so they opened up one of the other areas for us and the actors stayed in character. It was really impressive and fun. The setting is amazing and the puzzles were fun but not frustrating. I thought the live actor involvement would be weird but it was completely the opposite… it was fantastic! The actors really added to the experience in a way I could have never expected.

I did like this room but out of all of the ones at Casa Loma it was my least favorite. Lots of stairs to get there and climb within the room (although what do you expect in a castle). The strangers we were put with weren’t great at communicating but it was still fun and had some interesting puzzles. I feel like all the rooms at this location are repeatable because the groups are so big there are things you don’t get to do on one pass through.

This was one of my favorites rooms. So much to do and we succeeded with 2 min to spare. There were 6 of us which seemed like a good number. The actors really added to the experience and helped you not get too far off track if you were doing something really dumb.
The Haunted Hotel

While my group had a good time overall there were a few things that didn’t go as expected. We actually solved one of the puzzles out of order which put us in the wrong room at the wrong time. Also one of the puzzles was broken but we were not told so it just seemed like something would happen there and never did. Lastly as other reviewers have stated, the clues on the iPad were annoying to use and you had to remember to bring it with you between locations. A good room but not 5/5.

Completed the room with 2 people. It was fun but a little limiting as it was only one space. I think it would have been way too cramped with more than 3-4 people. Good puzzles but one or two that were unnecessarily frustrating.
