Boda Borg Boston QuestsBoda Borg - BostonEscape roomOther Fun and engaging bite sized “escape” rooms! Enjoyed much better than the likes of Level 99, less crowds and plenty of time to redo rooms after failure. A plethora of experiences with very doable physical challenges (from the rooms I visited). Heavily recommend: The Farm, Area 51, Lava, Alcatraz.
Prison BreakThe Escape Game - St. LouisEscape roomIRLAbsolutely fantastic room! Large and each set piece more interesting than the last, though the ending was anticlimactic. Make sure you go with a large group you know, or else your group will be put with a group of strangers who spam the hint button every five minutes…regardless, the atmosphere was amazing.
The DepthsThe Escape Game - St. LouisEscape roomIRLUnderwater themed escape rooms are fun! Had some janky-ness with the tech, but not to the detriment of the experience. The ending and several surprises were very climactic.
Ruins: Forbidden TreasureThe Escape Game - St. LouisEscape roomIRLMy fourth game at this location (and my favorite) and was lucky enough to have only our group of two. Very manageable and fun, immersive experience. Not too hard but some puzzles were thinkers. Highly recommend going at weird hours as to have a private room in this location, as it’s much more enjoyable. Note that ~two puzzles were guesswork (for us at least).
Timeliner: Train Through TimeThe Escape Game - St. LouisEscape roomIRLUnique concept, pretty high tech stuff. Enjoyable and enough room to walk around. Puzzles were perfect difficulty.
If These Walls Could TalkAdventures of IntrigueEscape roomIRLPuzzles were basic (lock based) and didn’t give much of a struggle, but I feel like you don’t come to this place for a tough time, you come for this place for a fun time to explore. The enthusiasm of the staff and the immersion were greatly appreciated. The story is pretty somber, FYI. No scares here.
Blackbeard's Revenge - A Pirates CurseSt. Louis EscapeEscape roomIRLA nice non scary escape room from here! There are better ones to choose from (probably my least favorite out of the bunch here) but it’s still leagues above many other escape rooms. Note that they have an atmospheric effect that is currently not working and would have been really fun to see at the climax of this room.
Save The QueenAdventures of IntrigueEscape roomIRLVery fun! The puzzles themselves that were on the laminated pieces of paper weren’t that special, crosswords and such, but the physical ones were great and the story was amazing. The climax was incredible! Highly recommend doing this one if you’re thinking of going here. I’d approach it with a “scavenger hunt” mindset rather than an “escape room” one. Staff was incredible and enthusiastic, as always.
Haunted Mansion EscapeSt. Louis EscapeEscape roomIRLAs wonderful as usual for this escape room location. The puzzles were the perfect challenge, even with many beginners. Scares were delightful but not overbearing, as I experienced with cellar. Atmosphere was excellent. Go in with a decent sized group!
Murder at Denbrough MansionEscape From St. LouisEscape roomIRLStoryline is interesting, gameplay wasn’t fun. We figured out the murderer within the first 15 minutes with a clue on the board and the rest of the time was spent gathering the evidence to prove it. Lots of easy guesswork that we solved things that we didn’t have clues for. For the price we paid, it didn’t feel like a fulfilling experience. However—big kudos for trying a different variant of the escape room!
