Undercooked

This room is perfect for big groups! Instead of escaping, the goal is to solve as many of 26 hidden puzzles as possible so really good for parallelization. Very fun and immersive environment, and the puzzles individually were all interesting without being too much for an individual. Highly recommend for bigger groups or company parties! We solved 23/26 in the time allotted.

Undercooked is chef’s kiss! Unlike a typical escape room, it’s a task-based points experience that requires teams to find recipes, their 3 ingredients, and input the matching codes into a tablet. It’s just as chaotic as the video game Overcooked. And it’s hilarious to be yelling out for ingredients and the team scrambling to find them. That said, we’re not very good at searching and this room is very much a scavenger hunt, with puzzles to find the recipes. It’s super nonlinear and once you have all the rooms open, the world is your oyster, which you then cook. Bonus points (money) were awarded if we could get specific recipes finished within a short time limit. Our small team of 2 finished about half of the recipes in the beefy 75 minutes allotted, but we still managed to top the leaderboard that day. It’s somewhat replayable since we could come back and cook the other half of puzzles if we wanted (though we probably won’t). This room is seasoned and prepared like nothing else, and it’s one of Omescape’s prime cuts! Hear it from us, the sous chefs of our own 5-star foody restaurant! Order up!

very unquie room structures and i love that there are so many puzzles that either can be done by one person or more depending on the vibe lol overall very good imersive experience just lowk bring out the ADHD in me rb

It is a lot of fun but there are honestly a ton of puzzles that bring out the ADHD in both of us.

Great immersive set dressing & excellent use of tech. There were a lot of effects that were really neat little moments. This room does a surprisingly good job at recreating the vibes of playing the video game it's based on. We did it with two people so there was minimal chaos but most groups will want more and I can image that does an even better job of invoking the game.

This one is interesting and a bit chaotic. There’s so much information and things to do - it’s a bit hard to parse through it all at first. Our group of 2 plus a young child completed 17/26 recipes. The only downside is we didn’t leave the room feeling satisfied since we didn’t complete everything - which is something we normally like about escape rooms. We always finish. Overall we had fun and the puzzles were interesting.

Very different from a regular escape room as the objective is not to escape but to make as many dishes as possible. The puzzles were clever and there was only 1 that my group found to be unnecessarily tedious. I went in a group of 3 and I recommend going with more. It was personally not my favorite kind of room, as I like the escaping aspect but everyone had a good time!

Very fun take on an escape room, you are putting together recipes rather than trying to escape the room. Set design and puzzles were all immaculate However I am very competitive and some cons here is that finishing everything faster does not add any points to your score, and also there were apparently bonus points to get depending on when you finish certain recipes and this was not told to us at all
